So the Stoke fans are destroying Michael Oliver, when actually the only decision he has got wrong was to give their team a penalty!

Was just thinking that. Crowd won stoke that penalty.

Oliver would have also been justified in sending Bardsley off (which would put him out of our game, as it happens). Three fouls the guy has been committed, each of which could have been yellow.

He's done Stoke more than one favour in this game. It's the fans who "don't know what you're doing".

Still only 3 points tho isn't it? Goal difference only comes into it very rarely.

Oh go on then, yes it's only 3 points and yes other results do matter, especially as we're playing Stoke twice in the next 2 games and I'd like all the confidence knocked out of Stoke beforehand :) - but without Swansea winning!

They're a passionate bunch up there, and the atmosphere can get quite hostile. Oliver needed to be stronger with that penalty. Blatant cheating by Moses.

Chelsea defender Ryan Bertrand, who is on loan at Southampton: Respect to the captain. 500 games, looked after me from young, from paying for all the young scholars' driving lessons to just being there for any advice a young player needs! #500.

Nice sentiment lad - but now a Saints player!

Shawcross is one of the worst at it. Carragher also used to be pretty bad

But it doesn't mean a lot unless all refs start getting consistent with it (bad news for Stoke if they do)

And that's the crux of the matter. Until referee's get the balls to do it to Liverpool or Utd or Chelsea as well, it means nothing (other than the big team bias becoming more evident) and they will carry on getting away with it. Any old ref can dish it out to Stoke etc and nobody will give it much attention.

I posted the original article in The Mirror in the match thread (I think), but as your yawn indicates...it is nonsense. A lot of teams may want Morgan, but I cannot see us letting him go any time soon. And Morgan has said he will be here for this season. And why would he leave us when we are doing so well...it isn't now or never...he will still be able to get a good move in a year or two.

No one knows how well Jay will recover or how well he will play this season, so can't guess what will happen to him. Unless Morgan has a massive change of heart, I suspect we will sell him in the summer. It was important that we kept him this season, but we may be ready to move him on by then.
