Schneiderlin is very replaceable, in my opinion. He's not our Bale or Suarez, but a defensive midfielder with technical ability and is extremely composed and reliable. There is an abundance of these sort of players, look at how long it took for him to get into the France team alone for an example, so I'm not too worried about replacing him.

Garry Monk spoke honestly after the game, and was absolutely right. If he gets charged, which he probably will, then it goes to show how little the FA and the Referee Association know about football.

Point is not valid for saints as we were a good team last year. Our team got us to the level it did together. Liverpool and spurs were elevated beyond their true level by one player

Oh you can't say that!!! I said last season that without Suarez they were not as good as Saints (as in they would have finished below us last season without Suarez) and a clueless manager to boot. This season they are proving me right...............yet people still rate Brenda and my God the Liverpool fans give me some. Can't wait till May when we finish above them.

We are better this season than we were last season....They are worse this season than they were last :)

And I agree with Beefy. I think Morgan will be gone at the end of this season. It will be big money £30m+ Arsenal will pay that if they want him. People said Wenger was tight before he bought Ozil. They called him tight again within 6 months. lol. Big teams pay what they need to pay to 'complete' their side. It will be an auction between Man U and Arsenal as they both need a top class DM and I think whoever finishes in a CL spot will win.

I thin Jay will go as well. I don't think we'll try and persuade him to stay if a decent bid comes in as we have cover already plus we have players like McQueen to cover for those who are on the field at the moment. I think we'll try and hold out for £20m but can see £15m being enough for the board to let him go.

I know it sounds stupid to say after last season but (concerning Schneiderlin) if we continue this run for a while and end with a Europa spot whilst keeping Koeman and bringing in even better talent why would he go to a bigger club? Wouldn't building a team from the ground up and essentially being the leader of it all be far more fulfilling than competing for places in Chelsea or whoever?

Well indeed. I think there is something to be gained from doing something properly historic in football. Incidentally, the Barclays PL commentator mentioned yesterday that Alderweireld had won 4 league titles in the last 4 seasons. He felt that it would be highly significant within English football if he could make it 5 in 5. Nice touch, I thought.

Because with the best will in the world, playing for Southampton for £40k, £50k, £60k or even £100k a week is not as prestigious as playing for a 'big club' for £150k to £200k a week.

Romance is a lovely thought but even if we finished 4th this season.....if Arsenal and Man U bid (whether they are in CL or not) it would make his decision harder to make but he would still go. We have more chance of keeping players like Tadic and Pelle than Morgan as he has already shown his intentions however much it is portrayed that he has had a change of heart. He has been told he will be here this season. HE has accepted that. If a bid of £30m+ comes in the summer he will be gone.

He can go for £30M+ for all I care. Its the £15M insults I wouldn't accept.

Les Reed actually said we had no offers for JRod...puzzling then that he included Jay with Morgan in his 'they shall not pass' speech. However, he could just have been responding to media rumours. I also don't remember hearing anything from Jay himself. Has anyone any clear proof that Jay is champing at the bit to leave? Not saying you are wrong, but would like to know where this talk comes from.

A return of JRod at last season's level would be fantastic...would scare the bejesus out of other sides...but if not, we are doing pretty well without him.
