You don't score some glorious chances. You fall asleep at free-kicks. You concede goals on the counter-attack. You deserve to lose QPR, and deserve to get relegated.

Liverpool didn't do anything to win that. Coutinho's finish was nice, and Mignolet pulled off a decent save to deny Sandro. But fundamentally QPR lost that game, regardless of opposition.

They didn't deserve to lose, that's nonsense. It's a harsh lesson, and they made some poor errors, but they were the better side.

They did for me simply for the cowardice of not packing the box when Liverpool were a shamble defending set pieces and with only 20 seconds to go, and then once they decided not to the stupidity of knocking it up there to give free possession to Liverpool and not just keeping hold of the ball.

Considering they have supposedly an excellent, experienced manager in Redknapp and a team mostly full of thoroughly experienced PL players, they shouldn't need to be taught any harsh lessons.

How does a team get done on the counter-attack when they have five men back vs three opponents? Not three vs five, but five vs three.

I just cannot support or feel sorry for defending like that. And their defending for the other two was hardly any better. They've conceded three goals to a team who didn't turn up, and offered very little threat.

(And at the other end, it took them about 80 mins to score past one shocking defence)

I just think if Saints had played like that, we wouldn't be saying we deserved to lose. Yes, they should have defended better at the end, and yes they made some really sloppy errors in both thirds, but they played a really high intensity game, and were a real threat. I do feel for QPR today, and Liverpool will get there comeuppance soon I hope.

Across general play up until that point I would have felt hard done by, but if Saints did what QPR did at the end there I would have had no complaints and would be fairly furious at our players and manager... Thankfully we don't have that manager any more.

Fair enough, each to their own.

Fair play to Michael Oliver with that penalty. Fed up seeing the likes of Shawcross and Skrtel get away with tugging the hell out of strikers in the box.

Shawcross is one of the worst at it. Carragher also used to be pretty bad

But it doesn't mean a lot unless all refs start getting consistent with it (bad news for Stoke if they do)
