There’s about a meter in it mate, it probably looks huge cos the cameras and crowd are further away and it looks more expansive.

Your right mate, it's probably something that's stuck in my head from being younger with the old Wembley when the commentators always used to mention how tiring it was for the players because the pitch was so big.
The new one is only a metre wider than ours and Wycombe and ours are exactly the same size

I have been in most parts of the new wembley and never had a bad view. Everywhere is brilliant in my experience.

The pitch looks massive, players run more and faster plus their adrenalin levels are up.

That's why you'll often see daft tackles early on and cramp late on.

Didn't seem to slow Stokoe down though <laugh>

Has anyone posted a suggested line up?
I reckon he will go with the same XI as Sheffield Wednesday. Id be happy with that as well.

    Edit: apologies @TopCat_SMB :emoticon-0148-yes:

I know people, including me, want Broadhead to start, score and smash Wycombe ...

... but I feel sure Neil will stick to the 11 heroes from Monday.

What a bench though with Broadhead on it.

I’d agree with that mate, can see Embleton having a potentially decisive role from the bench as well.

    Good read that!

It was mentioned yesterday, can you inagine what Neil's response would be to a question like Howe was asked. This quote confirms what I expected his reaction would be "Ask him about the emotions of trying to end four long years of hurt in League One, and he will look at you as if you have come from another planet."

He gave the look to the bloke who asked if the job was too big for him the other night:biggrin:

Definitely has the look of Gollum from Lord of the rings about him... if he ever says 'my precious' we will know for certain.

This is from the Wycombe website, it's almost as if they have no idea about football <doh>

"The Chairboys have been granted an initial allocation of 19,205 tickets in the East End of the famous venue, but hopes to generate sufficient demand to extend this allocation to 28,000. It is therefore important that fans pledge their support to the team by encouraging friends, family, neighbours and colleagues to join them for a special day at Wembley. Buying early therefore increases the likelihood of more fans being able to attend on the day."

The people they're hoping to persuade to go are obviously not fans or they'd be going anyway ffs.

I wonder how many, of the 14,345, have been bought by Sunderland people.

As it's general sale you'd think most Wycombe who want a ticket will have bought ...

... how ironic if we push their sales up to 19,000 and trigger a further allocation <laugh> <laugh> <laugh>
