I feel like a lot of the "I know one of the really senior people at the club" thing strains credulity even more in the modern era, when the majority of the really senior people at our club who deal with financial things aren't local products. The odds that you'll have such a longstanding friendship with Martin Semmens that he's feeding you takeover details are pretty slim.
Toby Steele is local. He used to be FD of a company in southampton before moving to saints
So it’s not outside the realms of possibility that someone might know him. But equally I’d be staggered if he was the leak. Especially if listed companies are involved

I went through the list of senior people and Toby Steele and the club secretary are basically the only ones I could come up with who'd be privy to actual financial details and also know people in the area. Which makes it all the less likely they'd be leaking: there aren't many options for blaming someone else, heh.

I’ve also heard a rumour of a deal agreed in principle for a takeover. Don’t know any further details though, but it’s enough to get me excited. I hope they are rich, whoever they are

Can’t really share to be honest, but I trust it enough to get a little excited.
Also - I thought it was interesting that it seems like multiple people have rumblings now, so it’s just adding smoke. Fingers crossed.
