"Imagine calling for the destruction of a civilisation. Imagine dreaming about violently scrubbing an ancient nation from the face of the Earth. Imagine flirting with the idea of obliterating a land with thousands of years of rich history. I am referring, of course, to the activist class and its annihilationist hatred for the Jewish State. For nearly three years, these people have beat the streets and swarmed the digital networks to agitate for the erasure of Israel, all the way ‘from the river to the sea’. President Trump’s juvenile bluster on Iran has nothing on their existential loathing for the Jewish homeland."

The whole landscape has changed, I think. Some polls have The Greens neck and neck with Reform. How our FPTP electoral system will reflect this new reality, God only knows.
My comment was just an innuendo laden tongue in cheek suggestion that there are now three parties full of tories.. :emoticon-0108-speec

He has 'a' point in what he's saying, but it's a sneering, poor article as a whole, that's laced with the type of hyperbole Trump would be proud of. Sorry, but that one, despite the single reasonable point he's making (that there's a connection between Trump's words in that Tweet and Hezbollah/Iran's feelings towards Israel) is a big 'no' from me. It's one thing to make that comparison, another to completely fail to acknowledge that actually the vast majority of people (including the "classes" he spends most of his time there sneering at) are perfectly fine with Israel's existence, but have grave concerns over their current warmongering and foreign policy.

So Trump doesn't like Leo!
"Pope Leo has said he has "no fear" of the Trump administration and will continue to speak out against war after the US president launched an unusual and scathing attack over his stance on the Iran conflict.

Donald Trump accused the pontiff of being "WEAK on Crime and terrible for Foreign Policy" in a Truth Social post, later telling reporters he was "not a big fan".

He's going to be even more pissed of with Keir Starmer who has said the UK and France will co-host a summit this week on a “coordinated, independent, multinational” plan to protect shipping in the strait of Hormuz when the conflict ends. He went on to say:-

"The ongoing closure of the strait of Hormuz is deeply damaging. Getting global shipping moving is vital to ease cost-of-living pressures.
The UK has convened more than 40 nations who share our aim to restore freedom of navigation.
This week the UK and France will co-host a summit to advance work on a coordinated, independent, multinational plan to safeguard shipping when the conflict ends."

I'm no big fan of SKS but anything he does that winds up the tangerine turd is alright by me.
