That tagging was a bit tongue in cheek of course I don't condone it. I'm looking out for the legal challenges to the DOGE dogs and how the pared down organisations perform over time. There are those bleating about torched cars that were sympathising even condoning last years riots.Agreed on the first point, though I wouldn’t condone the vandalising or destruction of private property.
I do find it bizarre though, that there are people who would get frustrated at the apathy of Saints supporters, and calling for them to protest SR and “let them know what we think” etc. That’s essentially what these anti Tesla protests are, except they’re more punchy because it’s protesting against the ruination of people’s jobs, lives and money. It’s not eleven blokes kicking a ball around. It’s far more vital than that. They also don’t have a stadium to centre the protest, where the ‘baddies’ are - the only place is Tesla factories and showrooms.
So it feels a bit two tier to want people to rise up in the face of a football club ownership making a couple of mistakes, but to start pearl clutching when it’s people who are having their lives tipped upside down protesting by defacing a few cars.

Conspiracy Theory? A couple of Russian agents hi-jacked the Portuguese Container ship and rammed the US Government aviation fuel tanker. You couldn't make these things up!
Ah, disruptive bargaining, yes that’s bang on.Make it two tier twat trump TTTT.
I reposted an article by Prof. David Honig of Indiana University re Trump's negotiating technique first put up by Chilcs. It's worth a read if you haven't already seen it https://www.newsfromme.com/2025/02/02/wonky-stuff/
As I said over there, no surprise! They have arrested the Captain of the Solong, a 59 year old Russian national.
Just noticed the Environmental & Pollution Thread
Surprised no one hwre has comnented in Nicola Sturgeon's decision to quit politics. Unquestionably she was the greatest female polical leader the uk has produced. I as discussing her with the daughter if a friend about 3 years ago and we agreed that she had the potential to be the most significant political leader in Western Europe and steered Europe towards a more progressive era of politics.
She was exceptional during Covid where she repeatedly had Boris on the ropes but undone by the failure to get a second referendum.

Someone has set up a website to check DOGE’s actual savings against the claims. The difference is shocking.

Must be all that testosterone. Or something.Does make me laugh that the right, who constantly chest-beat about oil and gas and big engines, are literally buying Teslas now.
One of the worst things about X, and something echoed by a few people here, are lies and distortions intended purely to promote a schism between races in England and distract from the real issue: the lack of appropriate spending on society.
This week there has been a furore about King Charles becoming Muslim. He has not. And everyone very upset about him not saying anything about Shrove Tuesday. Meanwhile the churches are empty - because nobody gives a crap unless it excuses their hatred of Islam.
Next, there have been numerous stories about the ‘Christian’ massacres in Syria, but if you point out that most victims as Assad loyal Alawites, you are told no no, cover up! Muslims hate Christians.
Then there have been thousands of posts of people eating pork at work with their muslim coworkers- as ‘revenge’ for Ramadan. When did basic manners die?
And then, the rhetoric about Fascist Britain used to justify the ‘free speech’ hate speech they are all spouting requires constant twisting of truth. An element of employment law that means bar staff should not be exposed to hate speech and sexual harassment has been attacked by the right as an infringement of ‘what the pub is for’. So the pub is for telling the barmaid she has great tits and that trans people are mentally diseased? Again, I have never even wanted to say anything crass in front of pub staff - and have had plenty of rowdy pub chats.
People need to wake up and stop being arseholes.
Nobody has said anything about British identity not being allowed. Celebrate it. Enjoy it. The existence of other identities is not an attack on traditional Britishness.England, for centuries, has been a European nation rooted in Christian moral values.
The left seem to think everyone else is allowed a national identity worth protecting, except British people.
When I go to other countries, I respect their culture. What is happening in England is that there are a growing number of people that do not respect our culture… that are trying to slowly force more extreme Islamic views into the mainstream. (I assume that you are going to deny this reality).
It is right that people that come here feel welcomed - but it’s not right that it’s at the detriment of the people already here.
In your eyes, wanting a safe home is ‘xenophobic’, wanting to maintain your town is ‘problematic’, wanting a high-trust society is ‘fascism’.
Islamic nations themselves don’t tolerate the same kind of extreme religious beliefs that we are happy to tolerate here. They are safer as they punish criminals appropriately and actually police their borders.
Sheikh Abdullah from the UAE warned that Europe’s approach to extremism will lead to an increase in homegrown terrorists. He said: “There will come a day when we see far more radicals, extremists, and terrorists coming from Europe because of a lack of decision-making and trying to be politically correct.” He is being proven correct.
This isn’t just an Islam thing, either. We are so soft on crime in this country that it is becoming seriously unsafe.
Why are other nations, such as the UAE allowed to police their borders and not accept criminals, but we have to accept a complete open border policy that spends billions housing criminals?
In no sane world is what we are currently doing sustainable.
The free speech part of your post.. free speech is absolutely fundamental to society. I am unsure how you can dispute this
