But why do so many despots have absurd hair?
A couple of years ago for Movember I tried to grow an Uncle Joe 'tache. Trouble is I just ended up looking like a kiddie fiddler.
Yes, that’s my point. It’s Chinese propaganda widely available IN ENGLISH for international readers. So it’s not like China is sneaking around badmouthing the US behind their backs and taking advantage of the language barrier. They are badmouthing Trump in English, for everyone to understand. And spreading pro-Beijing propaganda that isn’t working at all.
Because, look at this:
https://www.pewresearch.org/global/...na-turn-sharply-negative-amid-trade-tensions/
People actually DO have a negative impression of China, and it’s gotten remarkably worse in the last few years.
But guess what else happened? This:

And this:

Three different countries. All non-English speaking. All with government controlled media. Yet all three show marked shifts in popularity, even though not much about them has changed recently. And in different directions to boot.
Don’t I?![]()
The overseas voters should be motivated a big campaign for all those that qualify to register. Cameron promised to extend or remove the 15 year time limit, didn't happen. The best part about any second referendum would be that the Remain campaign wouldn’t be led by David Cameron. That, plus the fact that there are over 2 million new young voters registered since 2016, plus the fact that probably more Leave voters than Remainers have died, plus the fact that many Leavers have changed their minds, OUGHT to swing it.
BUT don’t underestimate the dirty tricks of Cummings and co., who will almost certainly pull off another Cambridge Analytica style stunt to influence people.
As i understand it what President Xi has said to China is nothing. Not made any other statement?Yeah, I'm not talking about what is said in English. What the Chinese government say in English is certainly not going to be the same as what they say in Chinese. Why would the government use English to spread their propaganda (to Chinese people), when everybody around the world speaks English? THIS WAS MY ORIGINAL POINT. It's what is said and done IN CHINESE that is the concern.
I don't know why your trying to prove that people don't like/trust China. I think that's glaringly obvious to everyone. I've known it since the day I moved to Asia. And now the rest of the Western world is starting to realise it through the events in Hong Kong.
In every single Asian country there is massive mistrust of China, and a general dislike of Chinese people.
This is in the BBC today: https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-50042379
It's getting more and more out of hand, and the only way I think China can be stopped is by the Chinese public themselves.

I think he and the government are trying to play it down and bringing photo's and videos of the protest into China is forbidden and strictly controlled at the border. Out of sight out of mind.
Please, all of you, try and get to London on Saturday and make yourself heard. This will possibly be the largest ever public demonstration held in this country:
You must log in or register to see media

I would love to go, but work won’t let me, nor my health at the moment as I have a bitch of a throat/chest infection, hence me being on here all hours - sick leave.
If I was able to go, I would take a banner reading:
Conservatives and Unionists Need Toppling Soon.
If only I could think of an acronym to shorten the message.![]()

Hopefully they will ban the People's Vote March. If they do then I will definitely go with the express intention of getting arrested. Should that happen I would refuse to sign anything and insist they keep me in custody. At 67 I have never been arrested but now is the time to call Pfeffel 's bluff.
