I'm sure there's a way if, unlikely as it is, there is a reply.

Kemi Badenoch has accused Keir Starmer of giving in to "eco-nutters", although she didn't explain how expanding Heathrow and drilling for more oil fit into his diabolical environmental plans.

I am convinced that Trump will not last the course. There will be a moment when the world will wake up to Trump and say enough is enough. Quite interesting to read about elements of judiciary already moving against him.

I can see the international community reaching a point at which America will be ostracised completely. It is not going to end well for Trump and as soon as his supporters start to be affected by his policies, the writing will be on the wall.

I wax reading an interesting article yesterday about the fact that Reform is not the political party benefitting most from thr current political turbulence. The SNP now have more support than u der Nicola Sturgeon due to the poor performance of Starmer and his cosying up to Trump. When Trump eventually fails, I feel that this will pave the way for more progressive political parties like SNP. Hopefully Labour will then be more comfortable pursuing a pukka socialist agenda.

The failure of Trump will happen sooner rather than later.. Hopefully this will finally discredit the Right in the eyes of the voters. Just need the Left to stop embracing niche causes and start returning to their fundamental policies of addressing inequality.

    @Osvaldorama
I just want you to know that if you want someone to talk to, I'm here for you. <laugh>

This stage managed boycott wouldn't be out of place in a primary school.

On the subject of child like behaviour, how is it that someone is allowed back or even able to get back on here after posting this bile?

    Why wasn't he banned forever?
Why wasn't his account deleted like he asked?

Whoever saw fit to overlook the above enabled him to post more bile on his return today.

Then he flounced off again, no doubt to be reinstated when he feels like it.
No one condemns him, no one called him a wind up merchant, idiot, liar, no one puts him on ignore or organises a mass boycott, quite the opposite. Lots of likes and a ringing endorsement from the mod. It seems you can be obnoxious as you like as long as it's aimed in the right direction.

It’s a shame that turning a thread into a steaming pile of horseshit isn’t a banning offence, that’s free speech for you

My sympathies are with you Chilcs

If I had known I would become a mod back when this thread was created I would have pushed really hard for this not to have been created. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I don't see any sense of an organised mass boycott - people are individuals and (largely) adults, so can choose to ignore or engage or whatever. Vin or anyone suggesting people put others on ignore is simply that, a suggestion.

Just seems to me that a fair few people have, understandably, had enough of the constant diatribe. I haven't put him, or anyone on ignore, but then I probably won't engage, because there's no point in trying to have a discussion if the other person is incapable or uninterested in listening or learning anything. Then it's just a shouting contest, and utterly tedious.

Agreed with all the above. This thread was civil and even quite informative for a month, now it is just tedious oneupmanship and "see I was right" and "I know, you all don't and are being duped"

We all have varying political views on here - after all we are here for the 'love' of Southampton FC, not for our world outlook, but there are ways to debate and put your point across, without the Trumpesque 'he who shouts loudest'.

I have a few friends on here (lol honest) and I guarantee some of our views are poles apart, but we discuss them like adults and even learn from each other. There really isn't a right or wrong in a lot of things, just a different perspective.

The thread now is quite pointless as it is just now an avenue for one poster in particular to shout and rant (lol not you Lincoln...that is the SR thread <laugh>) and try to put their views on us. The funny thing is that if the delivery was different and from better sources, some of us may actually listen and maybe even agree a bit. Instead it is just sensationalism and frankly downright racist **** that goes under the banner of "You are all being duped, I know the truth"

The busiest board on the entire forum is the Hull one. Which doesn't allow politics.

Make of that what you will.

I'm starting to think we should bin this thread and have a thread whenever there's a significant political event such as a general election or a US Presidential election because most of the stuff on here in between such events is just bullshit.

Yeah that is fair. It's undeniable that traffic here is lower than it once was though (of which this thread is just one factor of course).
