Oh we do though.

You rant and rave about people getting fixated on things abroad while paying undue interest in the US political system. You may not have noticed this, but the situation in Gaza, in that tiny spot on the map, is currently the central focus of global political tensions....
I can't say it enough. This issue has global ramifications. It has had global ramifications since 1948 and those ramifications are just getting bigger. I don't want an MP who says BRITAIN FIRST and then sticks his head in the sand and ignores Britain's role in the world.
Don’t disagree with what you say (in bold) and crazy that they have ended up in this situation on something they can’t changeThe vote was a complete waste of time. No one, least of all Israel or Hamas, cares what the leader of the UK opposition thinks. The next general election isn't due for over a year. The last thing Starmer should be doing is acting like he's already got the keys to No.10 (even if that's the case). All he needs to do is bide his time, keep the pressure on Sunak. Leave the war in Ukraine, war in Gaza etc to the government.
The Kings speech lays out gov policy, it mattersWhich just reinforces my view that I'm pretty much ready to give up on politicians altogether. I mean, who gives a flying **** about the King's speech for ****s sake.
BOOM!We have no control over Saints, but we still care what happens.
All the politicians are doing is virtue signalling.
If you notice most of the vocal ones are the politicians that have a large amount of Arabs / Muslims in their constituencies. They want to be seen to be pro-Palestine so they gain favour.
In the past two days there have been 11 headlines on the BBC news website with negative terms in them aimed at Labour. Rebellion and rebels has been used over and over. Antisemtic once. Starmer suffers major rebellion. You get the gist.
In the past two days Sunak has seen a genuine attack on his leadership from SB. Massive news. Yet hardly any headlines using the word conservatives. The ones using the term "Sunak" have strangely positive angles. Words like defends, take off, eyebrows raised.
Isn't this how democracy works? If you have a large group with a shared interest that votes for you, it is your job to represent that interest within parliament.
You make representing the interests of constituents sound sordid but that is exactly how representative democracy works.
Trouble with MPs, is that their constituents think that they are in parliament to represent their views, so they get mightily upset when the MP takes the party line and doesnt represent their views. When your MP is not speaking for you, you see calls for them to resign by the voters, and acts of protest to keep the issue in the forefront until it their voice is heard. The march against Rushanara Ali is pretty grim.
Oh and Jo Stevens today. How lovely.

I wasn't saying the constituents behaviour was right, just that the perception of a MPs role causes backlashes like these.Firstly, have more constituents than the vocal minority.
Secondly, intimidation is absolutely not ok.
