Don’t disagree with what you say (in bold) and crazy that they have ended up in this situation on something they can’t change
however it is the job of the opposition to challenge the govt and that’s what he’s doing, acting as an opposition leader, not like PM in waiting

The Kings speech lays out gov policy, it matters
Don’t give up on politics, it’s frustrating but it’s democracy and what alternative have we got?

All the politicians are doing is virtue signalling.

If you notice most of the vocal ones are the politicians that have a large amount of Arabs / Muslims in their constituencies. They want to be seen to be pro-Palestine so they gain favour.

In reality Tom is right, it’s a massive waste of time. Israel don’t care what the UK government thinks. They will defend themselves and wipe out any terrorists they deem fit.

Meanwhile politicians score what they perceive to be brownie points, whilst the country continues to degrade due to unbelievably poor leadership.

I wish that there was this much outcry over NHS waiting times & crime rates going up

Duck Rishi Rice it's about to hit the fan. Those tory supporters rubbing their hands at the Labour party minor strife must in comparison, must be aghast at Tories ripping themselves apart
"Senior Tory says Suella Braverman wants to act like Putin with hardline alternative Rwanda proposals".
"The row has been triggered by Suella Braverman, the former home secretary. After she was sacked her allies briefed that she was ready to unleash
a “grid of ****” (see https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/1835093/suella-braverman-rishi-sunak-betrayal-attack) on Sunak (“grid” is Whitehallspeak for news announcements lined up in advance) and one element has turned up this morning in the Daily Telegraph."

Isn't this how democracy works? If you have a large group with a shared interest that votes for you, it is your job to represent that interest within parliament.

You make representing the interests of constituents sound sordid but that is exactly how representative democracy works.

Never mind the party political squabbles in Westminster this is what the previous and current tory governments should be lambasted for. But then again no one with more than half a brain believed the blustering bollocks the abominable gobshite boris was spouting.
    https://www.theguardian.com/politic...unce-progress-boris-johnson-flagship-projects
"Boris Johnson’s flagship hospital building programme and three levelling up funds are mired in delays and unlikely to deliver on time, two highly critical reports by parliamentary watchdogs have found."

"In a sobering verdict on the former prime minister’s promise to build 40 hospitals by 2030, the public accounts committee said it had “no confidence” that even the new target of 32 would be delivered by that date."

"Dame Meg Hillier, the chair of the committee, said: “The physical edifice that is the NHS is quite literally crumbling before our eyes. There was nothing inevitable about this heartbreaking crisis. It can be laid squarely at the door of the decision to raid budgets reserved for maintenance and investment in favour of day-to-day spending.”

Whatever is provided in facilities have to be staffed from consultants to cleaners. Where are they coming from?

In the past two days there have been 11 headlines on the BBC news website with negative terms in them aimed at Labour. Rebellion and rebels has been used over and over. Antisemtic once. Starmer suffers major rebellion. You get the gist.

In the past two days Sunak has seen a genuine attack on his leadership from SB. Massive news. Yet hardly any headlines using the word conservatives. The ones using the term "Sunak" have strangely positive angles. Words like defends, take off, eyebrows raised.

The march against Rushanara Ali is pretty grim.

Oh and Jo Stevens today. How lovely.

BBC isn’t fit for purpose on anything! I agree the rebellions in labour have really been sensationalised. Perhaps in an effort to keep things interesting as the Conservatives have long since hit self destruct?

Yes but it shows yet another issue with the open border policy.

Now the politicians are virtue signalling over faraway conflicts and inflaming tensions here instead of focusing on making Britain better

Trouble with MPs, is that their constituents think that they are in parliament to represent their views, so they get mightily upset when the MP takes the party line and doesnt represent their views. When your MP is not speaking for you, you see calls for them to resign by the voters, and acts of protest to keep the issue in the forefront until it their voice is heard.

Firstly, have more constituents than the vocal minority.

Secondly, intimidation is absolutely not ok.

I wasn't saying the constituents behaviour was right, just that the perception of a MPs role causes backlashes like these.
