Replace Rangers with Whyte and you're bang on apart from the last sentence where you need to replace club with man and in the second sentence, replace the first club with business and the second club in the second sentence with holding company.
If David Murray was so confident that he was doing nothing wrong why did he hide the EBT payments from the SFA?
The answer is that he knew fine well it was dodgy as ****. All Tax avoidance/evasion schemes are inherently shady.
HMRC chasing Rangers for money they believed they were due is no different than the Police charging people with a crime. The Police "think" a crime was committed by that individual and if the individual happens to be cleared in a court of law of the charge then it does not necesarilly follow that the Police were engaging in a witch hunt.
Murray's assertion that he was conned by Whyte is about as believable as a Grimm Fairy Tale.
