If Sven suddenly decided our best hope of promotion was to sign shocking players, then yes probably.

 

jerome is good at this level and zigic is very... well... big!!

What's going on with Townsend and Banton? Last I heard we'd signed them both?

Would be nice to have some wingers even if they are unproven.

 

Banton has signed - confirmed it on his Twitter I think. As for Townsend, Bert and 4th Official think it's close so it's definately got legs

I love how people are jizzing over a player they can't have seen play more than 3 times and has never played in a credible league.

I swear if he wasn't Korean everyone would be turning their nose up at him like they have at Jerome and Ranger.

I just mean I don't see why everyone is excited about Jong, check Foxestalk, there are people DESPERATE for him to come. I mean fgs they know close to absolute zero about him and he's playing in the German second division! I'm not saying he definitely wouldn't be any good for us, just that some people's criteria for strikers is insane!

im very sceptical about Jong... these players can easily fail and has never been tested against such physicality. His youtube doesnt even look so great.

however, i do think there is the problem that everyone is being compared to maynard. Without maynard long would excite me a lot, yet now i feel no excitement and a sense of second best.

 

WHU have had a bid of 2 mil turned down for Maynard, they we´re told to double it ? Did´nt we bid more that 4 mil ?

 

If he end up at West Ham for £4m, i will be GIANTLY pissed off!

Especially seeming we offered £4.5m and Waggy aparently.

John Carew would be a decent signing. I would love to see Carew and Shane Long upfront
