I dont think they will. Rob Green is crap and then their defence is very suspect. James Tomkins, Winston Reid, Abdoulaye Faye, Joey O'Brien, Julien Faurbert, Herita Ilunga. Not the greatest is it. Compared to Pantsil, Peltier, Mills, Bamba, St. Ledger, Tunchev, Konchesky, Ball I would take our defence anyday

Their midfield looks very good with Parker, Nolan, Taylor, Collison and Noble

The strikers are pathetic with Carlton Cole, Freddie Sears and Piquionne.

I think we lack the main man up front and hopefully thats one of Yakubu, Long or Maynard and then i think we will have the stronger squad. I cant see West Ham keeping Scott Parker

 

billy sharp may have been nice but he got stretchered off today... carew would be my first pick, absolute beast. Then maynard, then long. One of them would be class though! Is le fondre ready perhaps?

 

I really hope Sven is still considering Maynard. We are scraping the barrel with these other suggestions and any interest from us seems half-hearted anyway.

I say we just bite the bullet and give Bristol what they want (which should be less than before I think).

Funny that i was only talking about him earlier and thought why would Everton sell him. He had a decent season for them. I think Sven is running out of options and will have to bite the bullet for either Yak or Maynard

 

I think he'll go down the loan route now. I just hope it's a promising youngster looking to make a breakthrough and not a has been.
