FWIW, I wasn't suggesting that any increase in risk of heart failure wasn't due to coronavirus, just why there was an increase in it happening in a football stadium rather than having it dealt with at the doctors or hospital when the first signs appeared. Looks like that thought is backed up by what you posted then?
Yes maybe but also it could be that more people are carrying around undetected heart conditions due to previous COVID infections. They found 50% of people hospitalised with COVID actually had detectable heart issues. Of course these could have been pre-existing but I know of a few young people who developed myocarditis after infection. Think they should issue everyone going to a game with a defibrillator so that we don't keep getting these annoying interruptions. They would have been useful to wake people up during some of the Newcastle games this season.
There would be a ten fold increase in heart problems just running away from him. He would be like a wasp.
Another two games stopped last night due to people collapsing in the stands - the Southampton game had to be stopped also. That is 6 I'm aware of in the last month or so at Newcastle, Sheff Wed, two at West Brom in same game, and these two last night. We definitely need to be investigating all possible reasons for this, along with the sports people collapsing. Too many to ignore or be irresponsible and dismiss anything. If it is the case of COVID infections causing issues, we may a huge problem on our hands because I'd imagine that's a lot of heart screening which should really take place rather than waiting for signs of it? I don't know how easy that would be though, because that's a lot of ECG's etc needed. I suppose it could also depend if heart issues after COVID are when you've had a severe case of infection. That could help them narrow that field. Its strange its not really being discussed or any statements made from the authorities. Just gets mentioned in the match report and then nothing further. At least they've been somewhere with a lot of medical professionals and facilities.
In less depressing news, Christian Eriksen is training with his first club in Denmark as he continues to recover from his incident
The rise of social media is leading to the downfall of thinking for ones self. Instead we follow people we have an interest in and then regurgitate their BS when they share it without looking into it ourselves. Feel a lot happier in myself having come off SM in the last 6 weeks. Would honestly suggest taking a months break from all social media to everyone, especially younger generations who won't have known anything different if they are 20 and under, you'll realize there's a lot more out there in the world then holiday pictures and what some ****s had for dinner.
Not sure why he is posting it on a thread about increased number of people collapsing at sporting events? Is he suggesting that isn't happening? @Joelinton's Right Foot - Probably a post which needs removed, appears to be attempting to drag the thread into argument about COVID. GR4 was simply asking why so many people are collapsing which seems a genuine thing to ask at present. Looks like a mackem trouble making for no reason.
This isn't the mackem board so don't want to start deleting stuff unnecessarily. I'm sure it won't descend into a mass argument, even though I know some will disgaree with it.
Sorry mate I was being sarcastic for that reason I just think he’s a **** (and I know a thing or two about this) for spreading stupid nonsensical ****e so thought I’d respond as they do. Good to know I can post any kind of ****e I like outside of nipples still though
Let me know if you need me to ban you off here then - I have never had the chance to use my powers before. What I like about this Social Media forum though is that everyone knows they are posting bullshit. Apart from Pouchy of course.
The tears off you boys. It’s like the mackems about our takeover all over again. It’s ok man lads/lasses/non binary, embrace diversity and individuality, it’s 2021 We aren’t Nazis afterall. Though some do seem to be showing signs of embracing that too.
