Massive concern and this isn't down to previous under-reporting. Its quite clearly off the charts in comparison to previous. I'd say it is something related to the realm of Covid looking at it logically.

The elephant in the room no one will want to discuss is the vaccines. Its has to be a logical concern with this surge happening post roll out. With confirmed side effects of heart related issues, I think they need to look a bit more closely at that relationship. However they also need to investigate whether the individual has previously had Covid which can also cause heart issues. Fleck, Aguero definitely have tested positive previously and Aguero did have an underlying heart issue from childhood. Its never been confirmed if Eriksen was vaccinated. Indeed he hadn't been when he left Inter's care before the tournament according to their doctor (but equally he'd never had Covid and some players were jabbed at the tournament/beforehand by their national teams). I would hope they are looking at it behind the scenes but they will not want to knock peoples confidence in the vaccines by going public before any investigation is complete. It obviously can't be current Covid infections as they're all screened.

Its good that people like yourself raise it because we should all give a ****. People need to go in with a less entrenched position (whether that's pro vax or not). Hopefully they are looking at it but I have to say the world of healthcare is one of the most corrupt sectors on the planet so getting honesty if there is a concern with the jabs is going to be difficult. But you'd hope in this instance where it affects nearly everyone worldwide, and the vaccine producers are immune from any responsibility anyway (so it won't hit them financially), means the truth would out.

Wondered how long it would take you to come out with your usual “I’m just asking questions” anti-vaccine bollocks.

I take this kind of personally because my wife is - yet again - looking after intensive care patients with Covid. The difference being that this time they’re all anti-vaccers and ****ing rude about it. Doctors have a hard enough time as it is. The misinformation you cheerfully spout is making both the medical situation and the doctors’ lives actively worse. I expect you’re very proud.

There’s a clear link between actual Covid and heart trouble - as shown by the studies I posted. I imagine you didn’t bother reading them.

Vaccines protect against severe Covid and therefore reduce risk of future complications including heart trouble.

Can you come up with any actual medical studies that show a link between vaccines and heart trouble?

    … thought not.

I think the real elephant in the room is the correlation between those now experiencing heart issues and those not taking the vaccine as opposed to Pouchy’s fictitious elephant.

I wondered how long it would take you to creep out with your anti vax bollocks. I'm not really interested in listening to you continue to regurgitate your narrow minded bollock. Look you can spout all you want about your wife. I also know someone working in an ICU and every single COVID patient in there is vaccinated. Every single one. All with underlying health conditions and of a certain age it has to be said. The unwillingness to even consider that the vaccine could be the cause, is just absolutely plain stupid - and very very dangerous. Thankfully leading scientists and professors world wide don't take such a dangerous approach. It needs investigated and both vaccine and Covid. As for the pathetic attempts at guilting, grow the **** up man.

Have you been living under a rock? I suggest you go look up myocarditis and pericarditis, along with vaccines. You will find plenty of studies being undertaken all over the world because of concerns. Its a largely accepted rare side effect. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/safety/myocarditis.html

I think if the CDC are investigating it, you probably need to take off your blinkers.

We clearly sit at different ends of the spectrum with regards to covid vaccines. Its important to make that distinction too because people like yourself seem to be grouping all people who aren't convinced by these vaccines, as being against all vaccines. A silly tactical approach. The good thing is its a free world and we're all allowed an opinion. I can respect that we don't agree and move on. I suggest you do the same and stop thinking because your wife works in healthcare it somehow makes your view more informed. It really doesn't.

Unfortunately I think you will find the vast majority of footballers and sports people have had the vaccine. Including those collapsing. But don't let that get in the way of your blinkered bollocks eh.

Being an actual doctor probably makes *her* more informed, though, doesn’t it? Along with the 98.4% of other doctors who had been vaccinated as of February 2021. But of course Pouchy’s “opinion” based on watching YouTube between w*nks is equal to a medical degree plus years of clinical experience…

    https://www.bma.org.uk/media/3810/bma-covid-tracker-survey-february-2021.pdf

And of course the CDC are monitoring reports of adverse effects of vaccines. That’s their job. The fact that despite this monitoring they haven’t published a study showing a link between the two - in contrast to the multiple studies showing links between Covid itself and heart trouble - despite 4.2 *Billion* doses of vaccines being administered worldwide neatly proves two things:

    1) There isn’t some conspiracy involving every health organisation in the world to cover up vaccine problems - you said yourself that their monitoring it!

    2) They haven’t found any - showing that the risk of *not* getting the vaccine is vastly higher than any risk of getting one.

Not necessarily, just depends on how up to date her database is.

I remember going to docs a few years ago, was asked my symptoms, told doc and they typed them all into a database. My choices came back with Yellow fever, Eboola virus or common cold. I opted for choice 3 and skipped off home telling the Mrs it was just man flu.

    Blinkered bollocks.

    <laugh>

Try doing some preliminary checks first, it helps.

Reported percentage of PL footballers fully vaccinated is 68%.

Reported percentage of Football League footballers fully vaccinated is 49%

Reported percentage of general population aged 12 years or older fully vaccinated is 80.4%

Suggestions about the vaccine contributing towards the heart issues have already been refuted by scientists.

Your post was trying to sound neutral but was blatantly slanted. Yes, these things should be looked at but from a neutral perspective and not slanted.

Some of us do try to check these things before posting. :)

No it was entirely neutral. The difference is I have an open mind and I’m well aware that vaccines and medicines do cause harm. I’m also aware that Covid causes harm. Investigating both is very sensible in relation to the subject raised. That is what I stated. The problem you and half brain have is your entrenched position. That’s very much your problem and no concern of mine.

You do make me laugh. Did you bother to check your old data on pl vaccinations? A quick google would tell you that it’s 81% had at least one jab by mid October and steadily increasing. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.com/sport/football/58972242.amp

What’s that, more than a month ago. What do reckon, about 90% now? But again don’t let that get in the way of a brainwashed crusade to belittle those with an open mind. You can also throw on bullshit lines about refuting heart issues, but it’s simply not the case.

Try doing some research rather than regurgitating what you saw on the BBC (you’ll note I’ve helpfully selected a source your comfortable with <laugh>) or some other warped news source. You won’t make it so easy for me to make you look silly.

I can be very happy with the way I’ve treated those around me and the precautions I have taken during this period. The fact that hasn’t involved a vaccination is not of any great concern to me. I’ve never wished ill on anyone and respected each person is entitled to an opinion and a choice. The likes of yourself can’t say the same.

All of your bullshit about Facebook or YouTube or all the usual brainwashed idiot responses has no impact fella. It just makes you look small minded. So crack on.

Vaccines companies have a long history of covering up issues and manipulating data to dupe people about the benefits of vaccines/medicines. There isn’t any conspiracy. It’s a fact that happens, hence they’ve had countless proven cases brought against them and paid out billions in compo. I know a little bit about this as my uncle has worked in Pharma for decades and still does so. At no stage have I suggested that is the case with Covid vaccines, but I 100% do believe they should be closely monitored given their track records. Again don’t let that get in the way of your yarn though. As for risks of this vaccine, again not something I’ve suggested. Although it’s clear the data will take years to fully assess and we are still in the midst so it’s foolhardy to draw too many conclusions. I don’t, you do.

As for your wife being a doctor, no it doesn’t make her more informed about vaccine safety, potential side effects, what’s happening in ICU than other doctors. Guess what nearly everyone knows a doctor or medical professional. You’re not unique. So get down off your pedestal. Just accept people have different opinions and move on as I said previously. You can’t impose yours by will or sneering at those who don’t share it. Thankfully there are a lot more sensible people monitoring these things and not dismissing them out of hand like some dictator with little care for others.

Each to their with regard to being vaccinated or not own but you may care to research (more than the BBC as I did) and read more carefully as misquoting people just makes you look stupid, Pouchy.

If you re read my post you may notice that I said fully vaccinated when quoting figures not partially vaccinated. You may then, on researching properly, find my figures are correct and up to date.

I guess I know who looks silly now and it ain’t me. At least the bonus you have is that I didn’t make you look silly you managed to do that all on your own. <laugh> <laugh>

So you’re hanging your hat on fully vaccinated to wriggle <laugh><laugh><laugh> I mean you do realise whether single or double jabbed, said players have been jabbed? But regardless on the original subject let’s have a look at your statement…

“I think the real elephant in the room is the correlation between those now experiencing heart issues and those not taking the vaccine as opposed to Pouchy’s fictitious elephant.”

Whoops there Trev, that wriggle ain’t gonna fly buddy. The question was whether it was unvaccinated unwilling to take the vaccine were the ones experiencing heart issues and collapsing. So one jab, two jab, ten jabs, you’ve TAKEN the vaccine. I would say we try to stick to the question at hand, rather veering off into a different topic about the effects of the number of jabs. It would appear those numbers are likely to be very low in comparison to those who have taken the vaccine. So as originally stated it’s good to look into any link and those with previous Covid infections because they would seem the significant changes since these excessive collapses began. Just to be aware too your figures are well over a month old. I’d imagine the figures are much higher in taking account of that timeframe because Dr Van Tam seems to suggest they’ve had a big surge in uptake since their chats. Unless that has suddenly stopped which seems unlikely, or he is lying which again seems unlikely.

Youre back in the looking silly club

The last piece of research I read on this indicated that there was a very small increase in development of myocarditis among vaccinated people compared to unvaccinated. This rate was lower than the risk of developing myocarditis from coronavirus infection in all but the lower age groups, essentially children and was the reason they were initially not recommending vaccination for young kids. The problem from vaccination tended to clear up quicker than that from infection.

I am not sure whether we are actually seeing increased incidences in footballers and crowds or we are just paying more attention to it now. However it could be that there are more people around with undetected heart weaknesses due to previous infection rather than necessarily linked to vaccination.

    I have done no research and certainly haven't read any research papers. Based on nothing more than speculation, two things which I think may be playing a part in this are;

    1. Quite a lot of people put weight on during lockdown which they haven't lost yet
    2. A lot of people are avoiding going to the doctor for little niggles and pains that they may have gone to the doctor for pre-covid

I do think a lot of conditions (not just heart conditions) are being missed during early stages due to people not wanting to further stretch an already stretched NHS.

Edit: I am obviously talking about people in the crowd rather than the footballers collapsing, as footballers will be undergoing regular medical checks I assume

Here you go (look at Coronavirus Factsheet). They found a clear link between periods of high coronavirus transmission and increased out of hospital cardiac arrests.
