Don't think it will be too long though before we see The Ammies up in to Div 4, they have a great manager in Graham Alexander and 'real' footballing people backing him up. With a bit of luck they will replace either Yeovile or FGR !!
We need one ! but if he has been 'signed' why not release a name ? such drama and typical of Rovers that .
We haven't signed Duffy yet. Rovers Luton and Derry are all trying to sign him with Derry apparently given official notice to his club that the want to speak to him. Their transfer window opens on July 1st for one month, if a deal isn't agreed then it will be next year before he can sign
On page one of this thread DC is said to want a RB, 2LBs, CM, RW, LW, 2CFs. He has brought in 2CMs and let go 1CF EFL sources say we have signed a LW but other sources say we haven't and that we have competition for his signature and another rumour is we have signed a CF also unconfirmed. There is also according to the press a rumour that Nichols could be returning to Exeter Nothing dull about Rovers transfer dealings is there
next seasonAccording to the Bristol Rovers FC site Sunderland, Charlton, Southend , Peterborough and Wigan from the championship plus other unnamed championship sides are all in competition with us to sign Lyle Taylor. Charlton just missed out on the play offs Peterborough pocketed £22 million from Leicester plus some sides from the championship so I am not holding my breath that he will appear for the Rovers
I expect DC needs to keep things quiet until the deals are done because there are always clubs with more money who could move in to scupper a deal. Didn't see the Gaffney move to be honest. Salford look like being another Wimbledon of old that could rise right up through the leagues in quite a short time.
Surprised but not surprised that Gaffney has moved on, didn't get a lot of game time last season and as a result didn't look as sharp in front of goal. I really hope that the move works well for him as he always gave 100% when he played for the Rovers
According to Rovers news Lyle Taylor has held talks with Rovers. I know there are differences of opinion about him but it will be interesting to see whether DCs Silver tongue and enthusiasm are enough to sway him to sign
Stadium of Light ? Memorial Stadium ? Stadium of Light ? Memorial Stadium ?............ Hmm, I wonder which one he will choose ?
Just looked at newsnow Bristol Rovers and there is an item on there telling the Sunderland manager to forget Lyle Taylor and sign Christian Doidge instead.
Apparently talking to Gavin Reilly of St Mirren, scored 22 goals to help them get promoted then the manager left and the new manager Allan Stubbs? didn't rate him and withdrew the contract offer
