Pardew baulked Meyler then nutted him, to say Meyler 'knew what he was doing' as if that push is somehow comparable to a head-butt really is low-level thinking
Has he initiated it? Has he ****.
Meyler comes rushing in and nearly pushes the man over. I'd say he's entitled to his reaction and although he shouldn't have put his face in it's hardly a headbutt is it?!
I can't work out why that is considered worse than a push. Both handbags, should be swept under the carpet.
Well, this incident's completely taken the focus away from us getting beat 4-1 yesterday - which is good - don't want any negative attention from the media.
But we don't want any positive attention either, so we can be "under the radar".
Yet we want SOME attention because otherwise the southern based media in Salford are ignoring us.
Come to think of it, this is about the best we can hope for.
So it turns out Zidane was just pushing Materazzi away with his head.
What happened with Meyler? Pardew must have said something bad to get that reaction but regardless, Meyler was very lucky to stay on the pitch for it!
Pardew charged...
Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has been charged in relation to an incident in his side’s game against Hull City on 1 March 2014.
It is alleged that in the 72nd minute of the fixture, Pardew was involved in an incident with a Hull City player that amounted to improper conduct.
Due to the serious violent and/or aggressive nature of the reported behaviour this case has been designated as non-standard.
Pardew has until 6pm on Thursday 6 March 2014 to respond to the charge.

It was a disrespectful shove, made more contact than Pardew did.I don't recall a shove, I saw him gently move pardew out of the way to retrieve a ball that pardew was obstructing.

You have to laugh at him for saying that he was trying to push him away with his head. Next time I am trying to walk through a crowd in a bar im just going to hit people with my head until they move out of my way.
