Was that the one last week, or the one the week before?

Haddock, chips, patty, mushy peas in a separate pot, scraps, pickled onion, plenty of salt & vinegar, bread & butter and a pot of tea.

Got to be butter & spread on thick.

Chippy tea tonight. No fish though, batter's ****e & soggy round these parts. Pattie's haven't been invented over here either. Peas & chips, pickled egg, b&b, vinegar & ketchup.

Drooling.

Butter's good for you now, so why not.

Sounds like the batter I get when visiting the Wirral branch of the HHH family. They have something called savoury cakes that resembled a pattie.

The chips are decent though.

Can't believe I've been pulled into another chippy thread.

I hear the best chippy beans are done at Cave Street, but they aren't always on the menu. Go and ask the server though. Tell him I sent you ;)

That's it, I knew someone on here knew a place that did them perfectly. Next time I'm down I'll be straight in there for some. They're just not the same up here without a pattie to dip in them.
