    But what do they fry in ?

    I would give it a go but I'm not travelling into Hull only to find they fry in veg oil....yeuch !!

    Their website has loads of details of what fish they offer, what potatoes they use, how they do vegetarian and gluten free versions, but nothing on what they fry in.

    Observation today... The chippy at the bottom of Chants Ave near the bridge.. That's now called Chanterlands Friary with the same red design of a shop heading as the one down Whitefriargate.. Are they linked?
