fair enough thens he got to go Phillips from the under 18 save a pen against Leicester maybe he should be given a role
Good idea. What does Rufus think of this?

Hamer must be doing something right in his career. He won the golden gloves at Brentford with 19(?) clean sheets, and now at CAFC he's got the best goalkeeper record in the league.
It can't all be down to luck.
Its a no brainer aint it?
Our fantastic back 4 might have something to do with it. I don't think it would be much different with Sulli in goal.Hamer must be doing something right in his career. He won the golden gloves at Brentford with 19(?) clean sheets, and now at CAFC he's got the best goalkeeper record in the league.

Not Good Enough!
Hamer, BWP, Wagstaffe,
Hamer was not just terrible yesterday; he is very inconsistent; kicking is hopeless. Not very good on commanding his box.
BWP has to go. With the money we receive from the sale we can purchase at least 2 other good forwards. In my view does not work for the team; pushed off the ball too often and all too easily.
Wagstaffe has to go because he needs to further his career, and he will not achieve that at Charlton! Also, Paul Hayes for the same reason
This thread seems to have taken a strange turn. Yesterday was a fantastic result and we're all chuffed to bits, but the team was stronger in some departments than others, something which surely it is reasonable to discuss? Goalkeepers are their own sternest critics, and I'm sure Hamer is aware that his performance dipped yesterday.
In terms of Hamer, I don't think anyone in the 'keep' brigade has said he played well yesterday. He's had better days, lots of them.
I'd actually give Hamer a lot of credit for the clean sheets. Its clear that its a case of the strong 'back 5' rather than 'back 4'. The central defenders at least seem to feel a lot more confident with Hamer in goal rather than Sullivan. Look at when Hamer was sent off against Orient for example, first thing Sullivan had to do was scream at Morrison for making a mistake.
Its very odd, anybody who has ever sat/stood behind Hamers goal will no doubt have noticed that he's VERY quiet, even when trying to shout (quite the opposite of Sullivan), yet he seems to command his box very well.
Saw Pope against Bromley..... very impressed with his all-round game, especially his handling. Definitely one to watch.Addick4life, having gone to the Welling game on Boxing Day, I was very impressed with Pope's handling.
