It still wasn't good enough for me. He was much better with that WYP bloke last year. Can't remember the exact quotes now but Ehab said some ridiculous stuff which went unquestioned. I posted them on here at the time.
You're the one who's used Patty in their username. Are you really that thick to not realise where the link to versions of Patty names comes from?
A customer with no interest in football asked me recently why I was against a name change and I mentioned things such as the KC/HCC fallout, his "loan" not "gift", the non existence of sponsors for Hull tigers..... She asked me if I was sure as Peter Leavy hadn't said anything. When the Allams or anyone else are allowed to spout one sided propaganda on the BBC I find it offensive and sad.
well when I hear the word Patty, I don't automatically think of BirdsEye! also... I find your choice of avatar to be very offensive! so I'm gonna put you on ignore son.
That they are too long for intellectually challenged people with limited attention spans like yourself to be able to read? The post you refer to was one of the best there has been on this subject.
I don't either as it is spelt pattie. Are you a lass like Patty Hearst (she was brainwashed as well)?
Peter Levy has been the most one-sided of all the local broadcasters, he had Prescott and Courtenay on back to back shows, but wouldn't afford any time at all to Gareth Roberts when he made himself available for an interview the following week. So much for BBC impartiality.
maybe he was told to do that cos they we're scared to lose any lucrative commentry contract with Tigers. It is shocking if that's the case.
You're offended by an avatar of Thatcher - yet you support Allam's embracing of her ideology and tactics?
Having worked for the Beeb and as an academic in the area of broadcasting, I usually ignore the posts that bang on about a 'perceived bias' in the rugby coverage etc, slag me off all you wish - but it's bollocks (spend a few weeks with a stopwatch and check it out plus incidentally Gwillym used to be an amateur footballer...imagine that or maybe best not!). However, on this one OLM, I am genuinely surprised at how they have backed off on the obvious questions of the lack of marketing evidence, the spat with the council (and the BBC knows what was actually said) plus the appalling sub first year undergraduate level of skill applied to the balloting methods and design. Obviously, they are nervous of being shunned by the club, although for Levy I really don't think he cares either way - he's not sporty. The editor of Look North is really the one you need to ask questions of. Levy doesn't usually prep his own stories - it doesn't work like that. (My brother has been his producer in the past - thankfully not now). I feel a little sorry for Burnsy, because he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. He got under Nigel's skin and look what happened there. He's not a wishy washy presenter. Despite my old friend Polly's assertion that he's not a journalist, he is actually a senior broadcast journalist. However, he's treading carefully - and I would say he's been advised to by a higher up, and I think that in itself says an awful lot.
I don't think they can lose it though can they? Lincoln will know. Isn't it a BBC-wide contract that covers all teams? And therefore not a contract that City have the power to end?
Patty, PLT is correct, but the club can make it very difficult for any broadcaster if they wish to. They tend not to with commercial broadcasters (ITV, SKY) due to advertising revenue and contractual issues. With the BBC as a public service broadcaster it works slightly differently (passim Fergie, Pearson and others!). In other words, the BBC wouldn't be stopped from covering the games, but they could stop Brucie or the players doing the afters with either BBC LR or even MOTD.
I am in favour of progression of this city. no wonder it is in the state it is, you all complain about how this city has been held back - without funding. As soon as someone wants to make changes, all you knuckle draggers are up in arms. To be totally honest, this city is very repressive, I will be glad to move to Texas in a few years.
