Well put, Blamps. Very well put. And the usual - Happy Dwarf and PattySlapper - are behaving as per usual. Sad to say I'm not surprised by them both.
I dont think its ever a bad thing that people are prepared to question what the vast majority of people consider the right thing (in this case CTWD) Its good to have someone question your beliefs n **** . I will say sometimes the supporters of the campaign on the forum shouted down the opposition too loudly and with too much venom . That is the only part of the episode i didnt like , it turned into a pissing contest on forums - thankfully the CTWD honchos were refreshingly professional . As for the local media , they have to play with a straight bat and in doing so it means we get fluffy reporting - The only guest or presenter on RH that i like listening to is that bloke from Brid Town is it ? Smirthwaite ???
Without wishing to come across all playground politics, I'd like to point out that Mr Allam started it and we were just responding. As you were.
My opinion is that the FA would have rejected the name change with or without CTWD. So those who seem to blame CTWD for the fa saying no are deluded. I also think those who voted for yes to hull Tigers are lying / don't exist or soft in the head because I have NEVER met one person who prefers the name Hull Tigers to Hull City. I wasn't that bothered about the name change BUT voted no because. When asked I always said I preferred HULL. CITY. The name calling makes me sad to be honest because we all support the same team. I also believe there's not one Cnut on this forum what ever there view. Happy Tiger..,..simple question do you prefer the name Hull City or Hull Tigers ????? If its Hull City then you must be happy the FA said NO. Iv always being pro Assem Allam ....BUT that will vanish the day he bangs in an appeal, when he does that I will want him to F off as much as anyone. I'm hoping he changes his mind The FA said no......END OF. Use Hull City ,nickname the Tigers...get on with running the club and finding ways to bring I'm more money. Or just Kcuf off because NO ONE WANTS THE NAME HULL TIGERS despite your dumb poll ( just my thoughts as I sit having a coffee dreaming of Wembley )
He wasn't in a position to push the questioning any further, he had a duty to his employers (RH) to keep the station in a neutral position with the Allams, otherwise there was a risk of getting banned as some of the local media outlets in Newcastle did when they pissed off Mike Ashley.
I actually got a B.A. (Hons) at Hull University. But I studied and worked for mine - I never 'bought it'. And I picked up yhe use of the term 'PattySlapper' from working 3 years at Birds Eye. Any more 'bright' quips?
yeah.. what the **** have I got to do with Birdseye? it's like me calling you Ginger cos that was a guys nickname at school.
well duh! I didn't take it as a compliment! for a Dr, you're not too bright.. so let me rephrase the question so that even the mighty doctor can understand it. You have referred to me as PattySlapper, and not for the first time, I might add. You said that you derived it from your time working at BirdsEye, which is fine. I have never worked at BirdsEye, I have nothing to do with BirdsEye, I prefer YOUNGS for my seafood delicasies such as Ocean Pies, Haddock and fishfingers... So that begs the question WHY are you referring a name that you got from the aforementioned seafood manufacturer, to me?
Why not? As I wrote earlier, it's a term of derision and I feel that, for me, your pointless WUM-type posts have earned you a derisive name. OK?
Burnsy hasn't been impartial, he's been pro-Allam, but for the same reasons as detailed above. Even yesterday, when the FA rejected the application, he said the Allam's would be encouraged by the fact that only two thirds voted against it. Though to be fair to him, his interview with Ehab was good, he pushed him much further than he would have with his dad.
