Not making excuses for anyone but I wonder if we are tied into historic contracts which restrict the capacity of what the suppliers are able/willing to produce. I can't imagine any business deliberately missing the opportunities to increase revenue that we seem to do.

Surely it can't be just incompetence, even the most foolish person learns from their mistakes and goodness knows we have made plenty of them
But Davison renewed it with the kit supplier for another few years until someone (KLD I assume) stepped in and binned it off.

As I said not making excuses for anyone, but the incompetence of selling out at a kit launch is just unfathomable to me Ollie. I suppose I am just trying to get my head around how far we have regressed in our commercial business.

In the not too distant past the kit launch days used to be massive and a great source of revenue for the club.

I went down for a shirt about 10.45. The queue was massive and I didn't fancy waiting so I went back to the car and thought I'd order it off my phone. Got on to the site and there was only 3xl left.

Stock running out in 40 odd minutes is ludicrous. Imagine there'll be a fair share of upset bairns today.

There are a fair few upset adults, too :emoticon-0101-sadsm

I deliberately didn't tell my grandkids about them becoming available 'cos I expected this and I didn't want to build up their hopes !

It really is a massive revenue opportunity wasted, and extremely annoying/upsetting for 10s of thousands <doh>

Absolute mess. Just had a message from someone and there is hardly anything left. Hundreds of people waiting in a line for nowt.

Shambles.

Fire Steven Davison immediately. Absolutely incompetent.
Well I was in the club shop at about 12-15 and there was plenty of stock. Can’t defend Davison at all but the stock was there.

Person who I spoke to was after infant stuff and it was all gone early doors.

I'm in there now (after walking straight in) and there are plenty, including xl & xxl as mentioned above.
I'm in the (snakey) queue to pay . . . . I've got 2 adult shirts (L & XL) and a bairns 9-10 ( all home shirts) :emoticon-0148-yes:

p.s. I don't even know how much they are
You can get 10% off if you show a season card. I assume last seasons will do.

Looks like it's the online shop that's sold out, must have pulled the online stock to cover the shop
