I'd have huge respect for him if he speaks out now and talks about being a force for change or his beliefs because it would be a brave and courageous thing to do. I don't for a second think he will though, because it would be a dangerous thing to do. He's taken the money and it will have bought his silence. He's the last player I thought would ever do it. The ultimate proof that it's a cynical world.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/2320...derson-steven-gerrard-saudi-transfer-ettifaq/ Jamie Carragher makes view clear on Jordan Henderson and Steven Gerrard’s Saudi transfer as he issues firm vow …. Writing in his Telegraph column, he explained: "Since Steven Gerrard moved to the Saudi Pro League and offered Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson the chance to follow him, I have been asked so many questions about their decision you would think I was joining them. "I am not their spokesperson. I speak for myself, not those I respect. "But as I consider the pros and cons of their career choice I am prepared to say this: if I was offered four times my salary to leave Sky Sports and CBS in order to cover the Saudi Pro League, my answer would be no. "Why? Because I love watching and analysing the best football in the world, which at the moment is the Premier League and Champions League.
I think the lad is brilliant. As exciting as they come for me. Only 20 so loads to come as well potentially but he looks the real deal to me. 2 footed, pace, strength, links up and finishes. Eriksen to help him settle in. Couls be a cracking deal this and I will look forward to watching him.
So did Martial when he first signed. A huge amount of money on a player who's yet to score more than 10 on a season.
He looks happy about it. Makes you wonder what circumstances he came from if moving to Stoke makes you feel like that.
Is that one of the best put downs or am I just reading it that way? Klopp, if Jordon wants to leave there is no reason why we should throw rocks and stones in his way
On about Liverpool selling players at the right time. Man Utd seem to get their pants pulled down when they sign players. Only last week they were looking at agreeing £42 million until PSG got involved. Sancho, Maguire
Yet that rarely happened under Ferguson. I've said before that under the Glazers and Woodward that they make signings on commercial grounds, instead of footballing ones. That increases the chances of you over paying massively for someone. The deal they did for Sancho wasn't one that made 100% sense at the time, as it wasn't a position that they needed strengthening in, but only compounded it later when they signed Ronaldo. It's set Sancho back, as it stopped him playing in his normal position to accommodate Ronaldo, who was a disruptive influence in the dressing room.
Man United just signed a £900million kit deal extension with Adidas. That’s a game changer with or without the takeover.
He's class but it's another one of those crazy Saudi offers unfortunately. He should be staying in Europe at a proper top club.
