Given the reasons Steve Bruce apparently reached the end of his patience, what level of manager are we going to attract?

Mick McCarthy? Roberto Martinez would be my preferred options probably.

McCarthy has done a decent job at Ipswich with zero money - experienced and he's from Barnsley originally so Hull shouldn't be an issue.

Everyone thinks differently and for me, right now we would benefit greatly from someone like Giggs..

Not because he's the best manager for the job, he isnt.. but he'd give the club, players and fans a massive needed lift. The media would have a field day and we'd get that positivity and excitement back again. Whereas someone like Phelan, who is the obvious choice, is still very much of the old regime (wasnt a bad thing) and wouldnt give us all that much neededlift.
Phelan with Giggs/Neville would give that boost

Not sure about Giggs either, he's had a couple of chances and not done much imo.

Interesting Hills have Warnock at 20's, but everyone else 2's/3's

That's a good plan. Neville could play at right back and Giggs could play on the wing as well as them both being assistant managers.
To be honest, I've given up caring while the fools are in charge. We just have to pick up the pieces when they are gone and recover. It's obvious they want to bleed the club dry of every last penny.

Martin O'Neill started at Grantham and worked his way up. Now manages a national side.
I knew about Wycombe Wanderers but I didn't know he had previously managed at Grantham Town and Shepshed Charterhouse. That's a good way to work your way up and I would recommend that Giggs and Neville try that approach.

Giggs would be completely hopeless. We need someone experienced to handle transfers promptly. Operating on an undoubted shoestring and with an experienced back room set up.

The more I think about it the more Mick McCarthy ticks most of those boxes. Done a decent job at Ipswich with no money. He's a Yorkshireman - as experienced as Bruce. Would probably be able to get a handle on the situation pretty quickly.
