Mick McCarthy? Roberto Martinez would be my preferred options probably.

McCarthy has done a decent job at Ipswich with zero money - experienced and he's from Barnsley originally so Hull shouldn't be an issue.
McCarthy not a bad choice, kept Wolves in Prem for 2 seasons. Also when he took over at Ipswich I was at the Leicester game and they lost 6-0 and possibly the worst championship side I'd every seen, woeful would have been a generous opinion. He turned them around and has experience of keeping side in prem.

Giggs would be completely hopeless. We need someone experienced to handle transfers promptly. Operating on an undoubted shoestring and with an experienced back room set up.

The more I think about it the more Mick McCarthy ticks most of those boxes. Done a decent job at Ipswich with no money. He's a Yorkshireman - as experienced as Bruce. Would probably be able to get a handle on the situation pretty quickly.

is Mad Mick available?

As it stands at the moment, what is there here that would leave a decent manager thinking we were a good career move?

Lets face it we all know it will be Mike Phelan, they are not prepared to invest in players why do you believe they would push the boat out to attract a manager?
Plus they've made a nice little saving on SB's wages- they are just utter twats

The cheap option is Phelan, if he doesn't get it, he walks! The next option is Warnock!
Giggs wants to build his reputation as a manager, he wouldn't come here for that reason.

presumbaly MP will get a payrise and he will bring an assistant in...... so MP gets SBs wage, the new assistant will get MPs old wage...................so really they havent saved anything.

Think it's more likely to be either Phelan made permanent, or McClaren, than Warnock.

McClaren was at the KC(om) at times last season as a guest, and is available, so it would be easy. I'd put Neil 3rd after them two.

Giggs is completely unsuitable. Why he even keeps getting mentioned is pointless.

No managerial experience, no backroom staff set up, no experience managing transfers. He needs to go and get some experience in league 2.

The End.

They might go for a temporary appointment in case we are sold, hence the betting on Colin.
