I’ve just put £40 on Stendel.
No other reason than it should be him.
Holland paid for that 10 times over last night

You must have been sweating on that one mate

He's 11/1 on Sky bet now well worth a flutterThere’s a few Barnsley fans posting there thoughts about Stendel on RTG, seems they can’t rate him highly enough. This is the latest.
He is amazing.
If you were to appoint him today, you wouldn't lose more than two league games between now and the end of the season.
I am convinced that when he goes to a club who'll back him, he'll be remarkably good. Like a poor man's Klopp. He took us up last season despite the continual sell-off of players. One of his key midfielders, Potts, and a proven League One goalscorer, Bradshaw, were flogged and I'm sure he didn't want either of those things to happen.
He just carried on regardless, winning games. The club properly stitched him up over the summer, though. Not so much the quality of players who left - though Pinnock is ace - but the raw nature of the kids we signed in the hope of competing in the Championship on the cheap. He wasn't able to do it, but I'm not sure anyone could.
Our loss is someone else's gain.

Looks like you'll believe what you want mate and I'll believe what I want. Either of us could be right and we'll agree to disagree.Quite a lot actually unless you’re very naive about these things and believe everything he says is how he’d have felt had Coventry not offered him a new deal. Chances are he used SAFC to get himself more cash from Coventry then came out with “I never wanted to leave” to appease the fans. Had he spoken to us and turned us down thenthats totally different, but his words are only that. They mean nothing
If he says “yeah I want to leave but Coventry won’t let me” he looks a complete twat to the fans and club. So he has not turned us down effectively or otherwise unless, as I say, you think he’s being completely honest and not just saying what keeps people happy.
Chances are he said to the board “what’s in it for me if I stay?”
Depends on how long was left on his current one. May have just brought talks about a bit earlier than planned. If he had no intention of leaving there’d be no need to give him a better contract
My wishlist/essentials are in order of preference:-
1) Has demonstrated they can get a team promoted out of league 1
2) Have managed a 'big' club or at least a reasonably sized club#. This is so they have at least some experience of reasonable expectation levels.
# an example of reasonably sized club is Barnsley, Coventry, even Wigan. Wycombe etc are not.
Anyone who hasn't got those basic requirements should be completely ruled out for this job in my opinion.
Owt’s possible as I know nothing about himDepends on how long was left on his current one. May have just brought talks about a bit earlier than planned.
I’m convinced he’s the one. I’ve had craic with Barnsley lads on Facebook videos and they all are along those same lines.
The more i read about him the more i want him here, really think he would be a good fit.
My guess is Cook, if that doesn't come off, then Stendel.
Has anyone explained why he resigned ?There’s a few Barnsley fans posting there thoughts about Stendel on RTG, seems they can’t rate him highly enough. This is the latest.
