Oh they were but we stuffed them in the main.We shall beg to differ on this squire, and nowt wrong with that.
I thought they were comprehensively the best side we faced at home last season.
Totally agree Nads; I was at both games and we were totally outplayed. It was easy to see why they got promoted and we didn't
Gut feeling? Or is there some clue that you've spotted/know of?I think it's gonna be Paul Cook.
Have a hunch.
If he had no intention of leaving there’d be no need to give him a better contractTbf Robins said, not that you'd expect him to say much different, that he'd told Coventry that he had no intention of leaving. They then sorted him a new contract.

So much more believable than an outright rumour/leakWhispers.
Nothing more than that.

I beg to differ.Just had a look through a load of the forums on facebook and have concluded that no one will be deemed acceptable by many of our supporters.
You’re right but mostly it’s support based on hearsay rather than first hand, at least that’s how it is with meI beg to differ.
I think there is strong support for stendel
Not sure exactly what it is you are differentiating. You’re right but mostly it’s support based on hearsay rather than first hand, at least that’s how it is with me
Just saying that at least some of the support is on the basis of what other people are saying rather than experience of Stendel and his teams style. Hence not very solid and liable to evaporate at the first sign of trouble but nonetheless likely to complain if Stendel doesn’t get the gig.Not sure exactly what it is you are differentiating.
Again I dont see that, but each to their own.Just saying that at least some of the support is on the basis of what other people are saying rather than experience of Stengel and his teams style
I beg to differ.

I'm onboard with the idea of Stendel and even more so because the alternative options are very underwhelming. The idea of focusing on managers who "know the league" is completely flawed in my opinion. "Knowing" this league does not mean you know how to manage a club like Sunderland. It's not arrogant to suggest that we are a unique club at this level. We need a manager who can handle the extra pressure and expectation that comes with that. In addition to handling the pressure of a team battling for promotion last season, Stendel did it playing great attacking football with a defined style of play which is very modern and suitable to the higher leagues as well. With due respect to Ainsworth, I've no idea how he can be the favourite for the role because it's a massive leap despite the current league positions.
Again I dont see that, but each to their own.
What I seem to be encountering is that stendel ie perceived as playing football that is nice on the eye and knows how to organise a team . Everything that ross isnt.
Maybe I'm reading it wrong. It wouldnt be the first time
Alf Ramsey BHHAnd that, in a nutshell, is one major problem with SAFC!! Everyone wants someone big, someone they’ve heard of, someone with Premier League experiences. I’ll back fully whoever comes in. Even Ainsworth if it’s him, regardless of who I want, but a number of our fans will turn up his first game and, if we don’t play sparkling football and win by 3 clear goals, he won’t be right!
Parkinson now second favourite on OddscheckerPhil Parkinson has entered the betting today and now a shorter price than Stendel. Someone must have had a fiver on him!![]()
Have Barnsley rejected him?Parkinson now second favourite on Oddschecker![]()
