I wouldn't worry about odds to be fair. If nothing else the owners know they need to get this decision right. They need to show a bit of ambition. I'm sure they'll be sensible enough to know that the least they can do is give us a manager who will try and play decent football. Going up is the key thing but you know what, the few times we actually try and play football I think we look streets ahead of other clubs at this level, trouble is that we barely do it!
I think Phillips could galvanise everything, but Shearer knew what to expect, he was a legend up there, and we know how that turned out. With parachute payments ending, we can't afford to fail, so imo we need to appoint a more proven option, and from the names put forward, Stendel looks the ideal candidate. This isn't the time for sentimentality, much as I love the little fella.
