Souness was 24 when he signed for Liverpool. The bloke is a clown
Thought his vomments were a bit stupid to be honest he(Souness) says you can't blame him as the club won't pay fees for anybody over the age of 24 and are only paying for younger player who the coach has to develop. Basically saying AN left because Sunderland asked him to do his job. Makes me laugh

Spot on.

So one of the top jobs for Speakman now is to start work on the next head coach. Not saying TM (or should that be AM?) is going anywhere soon, just getting candidates identified and tracking them ready for whenever.

Does this mean the thread can never close?

I would be very confident they are doing exactly this mate.

Sure I read a comment where TM was happy to admit that his No. 2 does all the stuff he is rubbish at :emoticon-0102-bigsm
This is a great point, and in my opinion very true. Coaches all have different skills and abilities and it is important that a good team is put together. Every bit as important as having players that compliment each other. Venus joining will be just as important a signing as any player we have signed in the window.

Not sure if anyone is interested in this.

I was talking to a friend at the match on Wednesday, who goes with an ex player, At the match they were talking to an employee, who is another ex player, (I know another ex player haha)

They were talking about Snake Neil, it was said. Neil was on 7 grand a week when we were in league 1, then 20 grand a week when he signed the new contract.
Stoke came in and offered him him 40 grand a week.
So then Sunderland went in with 30 grand to try and keep him here. As we know, he turned it down.
Anyway thought I would pass on what I heard.
