Nixon reckons Barry and Manning were both close to getting the job before Neil.

I don’t remember their names even being mentioned at the time. Certainly not Barry anyway.
 
Someone earlier mentioned Mowbray with a younger coach.

Maybe it could be Mowbray in as some academy role / old head for the first team and A N other as Head Coach.

Then if the Head Coach goes, Mowbray as caretaker till the next one is appointed?

Nixon talks copious amounts of ****e.Thats another downside when we need a new manager, clueless twats like him come out of the woodwork.

Forever if he’s doing well, does that bother you, or do you disagree with that?
Doubt it will be forever, not even fergie or wenger lasted forever and they did pretty well. Just interested to see if we give the next person a longish contract or another rolling deal that would leave him/her open to talk to other clubs whenever they like.

Contracts are irrelevant tbh ...

... if a player/manager wants to leave, he'll leave.
