Eddie Hearn has given an interview saying how much he'd like to promote boxing at Tottenham Hotspur ST/\DIUM...

Boxng was always going to be a great fit. The artificial pitch, being 6' lower than the grass one, means that the sight lines from the lower stand seats will be so much better than at other stadia. Add in the proximity of all seats to the action, the incredible screens/lighting/sound etc. and the massive potential from concessions and it's a massive draw for big fights.
My daughter and I had a burger in the Market Place about an hour and a half before the game. At £7.95 it represented really good value. It was piping hot, really good quality (brioche bun, proper cheese, etc,) and the fries were not reformed potato and crisp, as well as hotter than pretty much anything that I've been served at McDonalds/Burger King. What was even more impressive was the speed at which hard pressed staff were turning over the orders. It mocked other burger places and it was all done with a smile, despite the rush. I could also have it with a beer, which is a nice change from McDonalds/Burger King in the UK.
Returning to the potential for concessions front, someone on SSC with excellent links to an individual very high up in the club, has said that food/drink sales are running at three times the expected levels. Some bars ran out of beer on Saturday. Of course, Saturday's game was perfectly timed, giving people the opportunity to arrive early and stay late and the next 2 games won't have that luxury. However, if everyone attending spends an average of £10, which doesn't seem too optimistic, given the premium offerings. That's an average of £600k in income a game. Say, 27 home games a season, plus 16 non-football events, that's going to generate in excess of £25m per season. I reckon that weekend games could well do over £1m a game, at current rates.
Just a tip from my daughter....leave the magnet at the bottom of the glass well alone....or you're going to have wet footwear. She tapped the bottom of her glass and it didn't empty it but enough annointed her Vans for us to have to wash them.
