Well the FA then. They didn’t care about the supporter experience when they made the stadium. All they care about is money.
They'd be making more money if they'd have considered the fans, though. Turning it into something that's worthy of the national team and cup finals would get more people to go there. They've damaged the image of the FA and the game by failing to create a worthy stadium.
Ah, but the arch is Iconic™ and definitely not a blatant attempt to hide how the stadium looks like a carbon copy of every other stadium being built at that time, i.e. the Emiroids
From a fan's perspective everything is definitely better to be back at WHL, hey for me personally it's ideal as I live a 15 minute walk away. But I'm just not totally convinced it's in the best interests for the team at the moment. The team are in somewhat of a cruise control at Wembley and to switch pitches three quarters of the way through a season I feel could be problematic. We saw how long it took Spurs to get used to Wembley's pitch with a loss and two draws before our first league win (and I fully appreciate that location, stadium, vibe, atmosphere etc also likely played parts in that), we also struggled in the CL (and the EL game) in the season before. I'd hate to potentially face a similar situation - we can't really afford that either at this stage of the season. There will also be huge pressure on the team to win our first match there and the lads/ Poch have had enough struggles this season to now having to be looking at a game against the likes of Palace or Brighton as a "cup final" which let's face it, when the pressure's really on, we haven't exactly coped too well with in recent years. The main moaners are just the Levy-Out mob looking for added excuses to add to their cause. The disappointment from the summer window coupled with the failure to move into the new stadium just sent them into overdrive. Despite the fact it gets attention, it is still a very, very small minority of Spurs fans.
Smoke test is good news because it does mean that the stadium build is to all intent and purposes complete. We have just have to get the certificates. Still some cosmetic stuff to complete on the East Stand. please log in to view this image
I've heard rumours of this as well. WTF, what's the point of a new stadium without a cheese room? I camenbert it. Is it briecause of Brexit? I'm gouda complain about this, what the fetta?
