That's value for money. 10m spent now so that you don't have to spend 50m on a shiny new player is good business. You of all people should know that!
Official update on the Arsenal fixture and stadium finally out... and it's about as ambiguous as you could have hoped https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2019/february/new-stadium-update-arsenal-fixture/
That cost is £200 per fan. That's not value for money. And you have no information to support your assertion that it won't be ready.
CL QFs are Apr 9/10 and 16/17. No doubt this is in the mind of Levy. As for the NLD : yeah, I would deny them possible season-recovering rejuvenation (remember 2012) via a first new WHL game win.
But if your glass is half full rather than half empty, wouldn't it be wonderful to batter the goons there in the opening fixture, to dare is to do, COYS!!!
Perhaps it's just the boyhood skater in me, but every time I see the new South Stand exterior live stream, I'm half expecting to see someone like Tony Hawk popping a huge frontside air P.S. Not to scale.
Let me make one thing clear: if there is the chance to have three/four/five home games at the new ST/\DIUM we should absolutely do that, rather than shrug and resign ourselves to more games at Wembley Wembley's ****e. Absolute ****e. The sightlines are crap, the accoustics do a better job of drowning out crowd noise than the cold vacuum of space, getting there and back again is more of a hassle than walking from The Shire to Mordor, we're not allowed to even sell enough tickets to fill the place up and the fans are pissed off at having to be at such a dreary hellhole and it's bleeding into match atmosphere - not least that cockwaffle with his ****ty little sign the other night Even if we only played at the new ST/\DIUM for the games against Palace, Brighton, Huddersfield, West Scam and Everton that would be one hell of a lift, because not only would it raise the spirits of all but the most Baddiel-faced of moaning twatbadgers, but with a crowd now mercifully free of that dreary bowl that sucks the life out of tens of thousands of people every other weekend that could very easily (no pun intended) spur on the team for the final push So no, we should not stay at Wembley all season, we should be looking forward to telling The FA they can shove their ****ty stadium where the sun doesn't shine - and they better hope that arch doesn't get caught on anything sensitive when it's being shoved up there.
Exactly right. If there was even as low as a one in a thousand chance of playing just the last match in the new stadium we should still be trying for that. Giving up now is a losing mentality.
I do wonder if there will be other clubs trying to veto our chances of playing in the new stadium this season, complaining of a breach of league rules and unfair advantages yadda yadda. One or two have already had a grumble I believe.
For me, the disgrace is that the spiritual home of football is such a failure at so many levels for those that matter most : the SUPPORTER. The haters can "banter" all they want. We are going home to WHL. And the sooner the better, if only for one game this season.
The old bill have opposed the NLD being our 1st game at the new WHL. It maybe shambolic but it has NOTHING to do with the club.
For what it is worth here is my view. 1) Wembley is ****...a big pile of ****. Imagine a world war one latrine ... but for dinosaurs, with the runs... after a night of curry and laxatives...that picture does not come even close to demonstrating just how **** wembley is...I have only missed the City and Bournemouth games at Wembley this season...and I have no idea how playing the rest of the season there, if we do not have to, is a good option. 2) The police have objected to the NLD derby being the opening mstch at the new WHL. This was made clear back in December. And if the old bill oppose it, it will not happen. 3) Wembley is ****...an enormous pile of ****. 4) The club are keeping their options open ... if they announced Wembley for the rest of the season and it was able to be used earlier they'd have been slaughtered. 5) The police stopped the first game at the new WHL being against the gooners. 6) There have been delay issues...that's part of life. The constant whining is a farce imo. They club tried for a year turn around, contractors failed to meet targets and now some choose to lose their minds. 7) wembley is seriously ****. 8) The police decided that the NLD was not happening at the new WHL.
