Let me make one thing clear: if there is the chance to have three/four/five home games at the new ST/\DIUM we should absolutely do that, rather than shrug and resign ourselves to more games at Wembley
Wembley's ****e. Absolute ****e. The sightlines are crap, the accoustics do a better job of drowning out crowd noise than the cold vacuum of space, getting there and back again is more of a hassle than walking from The Shire to Mordor, we're not allowed to even sell enough tickets to fill the place up and the fans are pissed off at having to be at such a dreary hellhole and it's bleeding into match atmosphere - not least that cockwaffle with his ****ty little sign the other night
Even if we only played at the new ST/\DIUM for the games against Palace, Brighton, Huddersfield, West Scam and Everton that would be one hell of a lift, because not only would it raise the spirits of all but the most Baddiel-faced of moaning twatbadgers, but with a crowd now mercifully free of that dreary bowl that sucks the life out of tens of thousands of people every other weekend that could very easily (no pun intended) spur on the team for the final push
So no, we should not stay at Wembley all season.
Ps I’ll be there for the Dortmund game, teeth well gritted!I’m one of the partial deserters, I’m afraid. The worst matches to attend are the midweek evening ones - which are mostly the potentially more exciting ones to be at - as they mean getting home to east London at about midnight. Heaven knows how fans who are at work the next morning (and may have an early start) cope with the stresses of post-match travel! I’m retired, so I’m lucky. But the whole experience is wearying and therefore depressing. But it’s at the stadium that I find things unbearable. The toilets are a particular bugbear of mine. Well below a level that I would regard as civilised and decent. They ought to be at least up to the standard to be found at busy airports like Stansted. Treating people like pigs encourages behaviour to match, and is in any case totally disrespectful and intolerant. It has been a real downer to be resident there for so long, and not to know when we can move into our own place. So I feel very strongly that we should make the move ASAP, even though I understand the argument for waiting now until August.
I get to see the stadium every day when driving westbound on the North Circular. I've seen the thing getting built (a bit, given I'm driving and I've only a few seconds to look). Most notably recently I've seen the cranes disappearing. Anyway tonight there was some kind of luminous green light emanating from what is perhaps some kind of giant sign board? Anyone enlighten(!) me into what that is? It's the first time I've seen it (or seen it lit up to be more accurate probably).
Not heard from Brian since the rumour started that there will be no cheese shop, hope he hasn't done anything silly. Are you OK Brian?
Good news is that Carrefore in Benidorm sell Slilton (albeit 3 euros 20 for a tiny piece), Wensleydale, and Cheddar.
I flew in early this week to visit my brother and the train went past the London Stadium which looked awful. This morning I went to see our new gaff. It is awesome and makes the Spammers place look like a shabby marquee at a circus. There were some people protesting about the terrible treatment to the Cheese Room. Were you the ringleader Brian.Back from Spain early this morning for tonight's game. Been working for a brother and a cousin who are redeveloping a villa in Vilamarxant.
Despite workinground the clock, we saw the Cheese Room announcement and mourned its decline with some Thunderbird Wine and a black handkerchief. If you smell a whiff of cheese in the new stadium....it's probably me.

Suggest you change your shower gel.....If you smell a whiff of cheese in the new stadium....it's probably me.
