We'll never know how much the fans unrest caused the demise of Claude Puel. All we know is that it was a great decision.
Remember this (I think) and yep in those days it would be taken in that way, today the poor little darlings would be so offended by such a "disgusting flashing" or whatever the "ist" word is flavour of the month at the time. Ageist is ok tho!
Proper magic. I have transalted this into Chinese 亲爱的果阿先生 目前我的阴茎很小,但是如果我们带回Cortese和Koeman,它会再次变大 等待听证会 Qīn'ài de guǒ ā xiānshēng mùqián wǒ de yīnjīng hěn xiǎo, dànshì rúguǒ wǒmen dài huí Cortese hé Koeman, tā huì zàicì biàn dà děngdài tīngzhèng huì
Based on his standard of writing, I'm sure he thinks he speaks on behalf of seven year olds everywhere. What an utter embarrassment.
He does make some obviously correct points, but bringing back Koeman simply wouldn’t work. He alienated the Academy and reports stated that many parents were considering removing their boys because of his attitude. I have said this before, but in my opinion we still haven’t recovered from that situation, as there is still a gulf between the Academy and the first team which seems to be crossed very rarely. As for Nicola, I just don’t know any more. I understood the reasons he was sacked but looking at the apathetic mess the board is today, we need someone with his flair and drive to get things moving in the right direction. If not Nicola himself, then a slightly more financially prudent version of him. Ralph Krueger was a Katharina appointment, and that’s where Mr Gao needs to start in terms of shaking things up, followed by Les Reed. Bring in a chairman and director of football with sound knowledge of the Premier League and the ambition to go to the next level (a cup and regular Europa qualification would do for starters), as well as the will to improve the pathway for the best Academy boys, and let them make the decision about the manager and coaching staff. Oh, and appoint Sir Rickie Lambert as U23 coach...
I was only commenting on it being conclusive what the fans think tbf. You're certainly not the team you've been in the past 3 seasons or so.
https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/news/46958/ This comment piece roughly sums up my feelings. Fans panic, but boards shouldn't. We can't sack a manager without a plan in place....we have no one at the club who can seriously step in for an indeterminate interim period. Look at the problems that Everton is having...they (like us in a similar position) are looking for a good manager....if it isn't easy for them, it won't be easy for us. And why change the board....we've achieved a great deal, but now have hit a sticky patch....partly due to money available no doubt....and things just don't always work out. Am I a Pellegrino supporter? Not at all....I supported Puel more than I'm supporting him....but he would probably have done better if he had a Mane, Pelle and Wanyama. It is a lot easier to be a manager with a team of stars. However, I see no point in not having a manager. All we can do, as fans, is support the team and the manager. And the board has to support the manager with players....unless they have a gem of a new manager up their sleeves. Not the time to panic.....though the panic purchase of a real goal scorer is acceptable.
Reply: I'm sorry but there is no Mr Goa that works here and Lander sports has no affiliation with Southampton FC.
