I can't help thinking back to the Jarvis tweet sometime ago when he cryptically mentioned that it's very difficult to purchase a club currently up for sale when the owners don't actually want to sell it ! I got the distinct impression he was referring to our current incumbents.. while I would like to hope a deal can be done .. I do feel Ehabs ego will be the stumbling block

For the sake of keping an open mind, could he have been frustrated that his own cash cow wasn't a preferred bidder?

Changing hands 'right, left and centre' are they ?
Like who ?
How many of those don't own the ground they play from and share it with another code ?
I can think of Reading and just lately Southampton who have been sold, both own their stadiums and considerable infrastructure added to it.
Hull City ? you get a modest training ground, a few players registrations and a fickle fan base.........
Nothing to see here ? Not if you continue to have your eyes shut they wont be.

I think you can also mention that extensive pool of interested buyers are in fact just a few of the same names, bandied about in various shapes with their snouts in a number of troughs; eventually they will only stay at the trough that promises to keep on giving. You have pointed out why we struggle on that account.

Do Viking split their frequencies like RH do? I tuned into Viking 2 yesterday using a mobile app (so not sure if that counts as 'online' or 'digital' using RH's labels, or indeed if they're the same thing) and it was just music. If they have three stations anyway why do they need to split?

You can't get Viking DAB on a mobile, if you want online, you have to pay for it.

Browser, Buyer, Bullshiter. Only one of those is anything worthwhile; lots of two of them, but not so many of the other one.

Are they supposed to be in order the bids came in?

You think Chien Lee was a bullshitter?

It was an absolutely perfect deal for us and a good deal for the Allams, it's ridiculous that it was rejected.

What was I tuned into then? Confusing.

Vikings commentaries are only available locally on broadcast radio, either on DAB or AM, they only reach as far as the transmitters reach (which is roughly the same area as RH, ie East Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire and bits of North Yorkshire if you're lucky).

Online commentaries, broadcast via the internet, are only available via Tigers TV subscription.

One of those secret streams normally only accessible to Patty?

No I wasn't successful in getting commentary or anything. Just struggling to understand why they split their frequencies since unlike RH they don't have three different commentaries to do. Guess it's another commercial inconvenience.

Because online is national and they only have local rights so they can't broadcast online.

I could not get any audio commentary online even the paid ( I had to refresh and it was silent for ages) and I think locally people are struggling with AM as well.

I have had tiger player for ages but Iast season I found the commentary lagged too much, up to 4 minutes at times.

Not really confusing, during City commentary they are obviously outputting FM programmes on any mobile DAB apps, so that out of town people, or those that don't own a DAB or AM radio, HAVE to pay to listen.

Who do you pay though? I thought it was City?

Viking are broadcasting it for free on certain frequencies but not others. It's not like it's exclusive content. RH would have one of the local commentaries on the DAB and online service so I don't get what's different.

There can't be that many people who are prepared to pay for a radio commentary.

Plenty used to pay for TigersPlayer.

It's quite clearly this PLT ^. Better than my explanation and in less words.

If you live locally, you don't have to pay, you just need an FM or a DAB radio.

You had to pay for the RH commentary if you were outside the area, nothing's really changed, other than the new provider offers a far ****tier service.

With RH you could listen online. From what people are saying it sounds lke Viking assume if you're on the Internet you're not local. That's the difference.

Frankly I can't believe that more than a dozen or so people from outside the area seriously want to listen to local radio coverage of a Hull City match anyway.

And they're not on FM either are they? I'm sure I tried that at the weekend and it was only on AM.

You couldn't listen to the RH match commentary online, unless you paid for it. No Viking 2 aren't on FM but they're clearly playing Viking (1) on app systems during a match.

You couldn't listen online to the commentaries on City matches on TH.
