I'm saying the club is worth at least the future worth of the parachute payments. As I'm not on personal terms with Chein Lee, like you, I have no idea why he hasn't bought Hull City, maybe you should direct that question at the Premier League, if it was him who's consortieum had a member who didn't fit their criteria of 'fit and proper persons' ?

Chien Lee would have walked the Fit and Proper Person Test, he's been a brilliant owner at Nice and he's got plenty of money, the only reason he didn't buy City, was because the Allams rejected his offer.

The club is obviously not worth 'at least the worth of the parachute payments' as effectively, over half that money has already been spent.

Go on then, how much it is worth ?

Sunderland's wage bill last season was £83m, the parachute money will go nowhere there, anyone taking over would have to throw millions at it from day one. Long term, they look a far better opportunity, but the purchase price and funding required would be much higher.

Yeah I was thinking long term. They own a massive stadium and traditionally have much greater success and fan-base than we do. If someone got it right there, they could / should be a top 10 team every year.

There has never been a lack of interested buyers. The stumbling block is if these 'interested parties' have any money or not ? Any chancer can cobbled together a deal with a minimal down payment and the rest in instalments depending on the clubs league position at the time which is really attempting to buy the club with the clubs income. No-one would accept a deal like that unless the club were in dire financial difficulties ( or the owners were) and a sale was needed at any cost. City are not in that position.
The only people who had the money were knocked back by the PL 'fit and proper persons' ruling.
Just what Adam did selling it to bartlett. Th **** him.

I won't believe any sale is imminent until Burnsey breaks it on Blunder...Until that happens, leave well alone.

The best thing about this thread is that nobody knows **** all.
It makes a change from the know it all s that usually presides on here.

As I've been saying for years now, there's never a lack of buyers. It's an absurd myth that only Premier League clubs can be sold. There's always someone interested in buying City. The stumbling block is whether the asking price is too high...

Browser, Buyer, Bullshiter. Only one of those is anything worthwhile; lots of two of them, but not so many of the other one.

Another decent post.
