It is unbalanced, but beyond that the cold truth imo is that for a team with play off aspirations, non of the defence are good enough, bar Fleming when fit, and neither are Woods and Slater
It’s the midfield that doesn’t protect them, saw a stat the other day that showed we’ve conceded over 30 more successful through balls than any other side

The squad is still very unbalanced, we can't have any illusions about that. We will be found out against the stronger sides as we were on the weekend. Just have to get to January in reasonable form and hope we can get through another overhaul.

We are without a doubt unbalanced, but I'm really torn on whether or not I agree on the overhaul comment, I've jumped from agreeing to disagreeing a number of times now, but I think overhaul is probably a little strong, I think we will see players leave ( but it'll be players that aren't going to be and haven't been involved for us so it's no loss ) and I think we'll see maybe 2/3 come in ( striker / CB / CM is my guess ) and I think that will compliment the current squad as opposed to overhaul it.

I think we all accept this season isn't going to be a promotion push but with the squad we have + the additions in Jan, I think we will be comfortably mid table which is a huge improvement on last season.

Re summer ( and this is just my guess ) I think we'll see 4/5 come in and probably a little more going out due to squad size and players wanting to play. Which I think will leave us with a much stronger and hopefully robust squad ready for a promotion push.

I think all of the above will obviously be heavily on the new coaching set up and how they settle in

Fig's turnaround has been insane to be fair to him. You know, now that he's been asked to do the job he's actually used to doing. I can't really fault Jones or Greaves either in recent games. We're always going to concede a few goals here and there, but the hole in the bucket looks like it's gotten a lot smaller recently.

Fig is and has always been a very good CB, he along with most the squad just couldn't work under shota and had their confidence shot

I guess my definition of an overhaul is 6+ players which is how many changes I could see made in January.

When you take ins and outs your probably on the money, I suppose I'm maybe not giving enough credit/thought to players heading out the door who haven't been named in our squad as they haven't been involved.

I think a key thing we probably all agree on, is that any signings that do come in have to be well thought out and coming in with a actual thought on improving us and not just the scatter gun approach we saw in summer

If we have manager and chairman singing off the same sheet it should be an improvement. Hopefully no doubling up due to long term injury also.

It looks like Rosie was offered terms over the weekend. Acun staying around suggests he thinks it’s just about done. He might want to avoid the Martins sat with him for the game scenario - so he might just choose to announce it tomorrow.

All guesswork/pieced together using other reports.
