Well if the bookies have got it right it seems Rosenior has the gig , got to be honest after all the soundbites we've heard from Acun about the applicants clammering for the role this for me is shall we say somewhat underwhelming.. much though I hold Liam in fond regards, not sure if it's the first name I'd have thought of for this 'project'. Just hope he hits the ground running, and allays any fears, I know he speaks well and comes across very well, so fingers crossed he will be a success, me ... I have my nagging doubts that this is not what we need right now. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong.

I don't want to watch 'Potteresque' Brighton type football without an end product

The squad is still very unbalanced, we can't have any illusions about that. We will be found out against the stronger sides as we were on the weekend. Just have to get to January in reasonable form and hope we can get through another overhaul.

    • An improvement in our attacking play.
    • A clean sheet.
    • Keeping up the good work Andy Dawson, Beri Pardo, Robbie Stockdale and Barry Richardson started.
    • A mid table finish, even if its lower mid table with relegation possibilities ended in March.
    • Bringing youth players through that are ready for first team action.

It is unbalanced, but beyond that the cold truth imo is that for a team with play off aspirations, non of the defence are good enough, bar Fleming when fit, and neither are Woods and Slater

They looked more than good enough against Blackpool and Rotherham. In fact, they looked pure class.

Greaves is quite clearly good enough. He’s had his little wobble in form recently but hardly put a foot wrong before, in fact made several goal saving blocks and last ditch challenges.

Figgy looking much better now there’s a bit of organisation to the defence.

Jones is also a pretty solid larker and whilst you might not expect him to walk into one of the leagues stronger sides, he’s definitely comfortable at this level.

    Christie has the track record.

Rubbish. Greaves is also quality. Fig is good depth as is Coyle, but as starters they need to be upgraded.

We were promoted to the PL with Evans and Hobbs mainstays of our side.
