I’m just pleased it’s sorted tbh. Get all this behind us from the last few months and move on now it’s done.

I've quietly sat in the background during this head coach hunt. My conclusion are, as others have mentioned, if Klopp had taken the roll, it was because he was the cheap option, we seem to be paying compensation, but that's not good enough.
Re relegation, if people go into successful managers past they'll likely see a relegation somewhere there. Bayern is obviously not ambitious, like us, as many regular and influential posters have stated about us, as they've appointed Kompany, who got relegated last year.
This manager, and others that follow will have as much chance as Beale to succeed. Our support is getting as poisonous as them up the road. I seriously hope he is given a chance by the supporters, but I suspect, a poor pre season friendly, or conceding early on in our first game and they'll be straight onto him.
Good luck to the lad, I really hope it works, and he'll get my full backing, others will crucify him on the first poor result

I know I'll get abuse, but that'll probably be from the people saying they'll reluctantly back him, as they hope he fails and they can have more ammunition against KS. All i'll say is, just remember what it was like under Donald ...... young players getting sold for peanuts.

KLD and KS said it was a 5 year plan, then give them the 5 years before you make any accusations on unfounded rumours

Tin hat firmly in place

The club could've easily saved themselves loads of hassle and moaning from certain sections of the support.

They could've appointed someone like Heckingbottom without any fuss, travelling, compensation, etc.

That would've said 'lack of ambition' imo.

Instead they've clearly put quite some time, effort and money into appointing someone they clearly have faith in.

I don't know if he'll be a success at the club ...

... I do know that, in my mind and many others, he'll be 'innocent unless proven guilty'.

Welcome to the club and Ha'way Le Bris.

Well definitely looks done now after that tweet. Time for supporters to get behind the lad and for the club to back him to give him the best chance of success. Welcome to Sunderland. Haway the lads..

Yep. I have reservations and have been critical of the whole process. As it has been very inadequate.

That said. I am looking forward to the new season and wish the new fella well.
