Don't know much about Regis le Bris so I've done a very short amount of research. Two seasons ago, he was getting plaudits and had Lorient fairly high up the table.
The article below talks about their tactics being unique in some respects but it appears that they were a low possession, direct side. They were, however, trying to find a way to counteract the high press but this basically meant knocking the ball around at the back to try and draw the press onto them and then exploiting the spaces that this left.
It suggests that le Bris is thinking about the game, and not just following what is currently de rigeur, by looking to find a different way to play. It also suggests that the football might not be that great to watch. If he is genuinely a candidate, it further suggests that the club don't know what kind of playing identity they want as it's another leap to another kind of coach and at odds, to some extent, with the character of our squad.

The obvious caveat to this is that, if he's a good coach, he won't necessarily set up in the same way with us.
