@Prehab26 @Magnus @Smug in Boots have you lads heard anything recently i.e. rumours of a takeover?

TBH I can only just about keep up with the managerial situation.

As far as that's concerned I'll be blunt and spit out what I've just been told.

People keep asking for info, then others tear it to pieces ... but I'm bored with all that tbh, so here goes.

After Still went back on his word the club have told Rosenior that he has to either sign or Cifuentes will be asked to be our coach.

It's no good throwing Burnley in our faces, either commit or take your name off the list.

That's what I gather from half a dozen people, some of whom have just been filling up my inbox on here ... all decent people.

I couldn't care less what people think about me or my post, I have personal problems that all of the trusted people on here know about.

The last thing I need is 'likes' from a bunch of strangers on a chat forum ...

... no offence to anyone who's liked any of my posts especially the Toy Dolls one <laugh>

How do we know they're not being thorough? How do we know what the reason is for not appointing a manager yet? From what snippets we have been given, it is reasonable to suggest that Still was always first choice. If the sending of the contract is to be believed, he must have agreed to join us at that point. Lens then came in and screwed that plan up. So, we moved on to other targets.

Still must have been happy enough with the original deal, including working with Speakman, if he'd asked for a contract to be drafted and sent to him.

Since then we've been swamped with Journos giving us names like Challinor and Robinson, which we squashed. Jansen was then dismissed. There have been numerous reports of more than one stage of interviews being carried out. That tells me that we are weighing up all of the potential candidates and whittling the list down.
We could have chosen Heckinbottom months ago if we didn't want to be thorough. We clearly didn't fancy him and have targets which suit the club and where it wants to go. Our Chairman has just announced that they are ambitious and I'm more than willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

People need to cast their minds back to when Short lost interest and Dumb and Dumber were making more cuts than the Tories, to realise what a much better place the club is at now.
A well balanced post, I don’t think anyone really knows what is happening with the head coach. All we have is a brief statement from KLD last Friday and nothing since. There’s so much speculation flying about, 99.9% of it negative, it’s got the fanbase split right down the middle.

it needs sorting and quick.

Yeah everything seems to be spun negatively at the minute, adding in Dan Neil's contract to the mix. Just hope the rumours of a sale aren't true, think he is starting to build something here and be a shame to change that with a new owner so soon.

I hope you carry one posting what you can, as with others. One of the reasons I signed up here from rtg was to follow the Dell takeover updates, I just ended up staying :emoticon-0102-bigsm

That made me laugh mate, and I could do with one ...

... it's heartwarming to know so many people love the club in the face of those who just spend all their time attacking it.

Reading through most of the comments and it is a washing machine of stuff getting turned over and over. My take on it is this.
If it is Rosenior (looks most likely at the minute) then he will get my full backing (even though I will admit to being slightly underwhelmed).
His supposed possession based style is fine as long as the possession has purpose and we either play possession with a high press or with quick transition to attack (man city like) and not possession for the sake of it (Swansea from a few year ago).
I am not a fan of 2 holding midfielders but we seem to have favoured that formation this season and it really never worked for us ( I believe that Rosenior favours this set up which is basically what is taught at St George's for up and coming managers on their visits their and is the preferred system of Southgate and the FA) and I think this is why I have reservations on this approach.
We wait to see who will be our next HC and I hope for the sake of the club that whoever it is can develop themselves as they develop the club and hopefully learn to understand the passion of the supporters and the need tap into that to gain success.
We are not a fan base that is easily swayed by nice words which are not genuine and TBH MB always seemed like his heart was not in it and the fans picked up on that straight away.

Agreed. For me, if it is Rosenior. I hope he's learnt and progressed from his time at Hull.
Not knocking his tenure at Hull mind.
He did ok.
I'm just hoping for more.
Improvement and recognising what mistakes he made and adjusting.

Who knows, he could end up a real coup for us. Especially with a smattering of good luck.

But it may not be a stigma, that's my point.

I just don't think there's any English manager capable of taking the Man City job.

Same goes for Arsenal and Liverpool.
I think the only one out there would probably be Potter, even though he was left high and dry by Chelsea who had just come out of one of the most turbulent times in their history, I still think tactically he is about the best English coach out there.

Could this be the source of the rumours. KLD wanting to sort out shares at the club, I.e JS shares. LP taking a look. Agent hears bits and pieces and then the story is that KLD is selling.

No way I see KLD going, he's getting a lot sorted behind the scenes

I'm pretty happy with KLD up to now.
It's been a whole lot better under his ownership than most of the last decade.
