He's a very good option out of a limited list of realistic candidates, has more experience than most of the others too. I think he would do a decent job here IF he is backed.

Nobody truly knows how good Rosenior will be until he's in the door. What I will say is that we sacked beale months ago and seem to have embarked on a worldwide search for a new manager. If we end up with a manager sacked by a club smaller than us, based not miles away, as his football was not deemed adventurous enough it will hardly get our fans excited. But it's dragged on that long now I just want us to appoint someone we can get behind.
You see, I can understand more Burnley wanting him as they've cultivated an identity and Rosenior fits that quite well. You're then appointing a head coach based on what you see beyond the headline results and stats. I don't consider that we're in the same place.
My own take on Still was that he’s a character who’s forced his way into football management via an unorthodox route that you can only admire. If you look at his time in Belgium, as a coach just starting out basically took over the team who were bottom of the league and won 8 of his 9 games leaving them at the top but they went bankrupt iirc. Then was offered the job of a newly promoted team expected to go straight back down, kept them up and they got rid of him then got relegated the next season.
He’s now managing at a higher level with a club that aren’t really expected to push on but he’s proven that he’s tactically aware tweaking for the likes of PSG when they’re expecting to be dominated yet played them twice in a matter of months on that long unbeaten run and absolutely battered them in terms of chances created with both games Reims have a much higher xG. It wasn’t a fluke imo and I think he’ll go on to better things. He’s also bilingual which I think we need here. What’s the point of signing a load of foreign kids if A) none of our coaches speak their language and B) we’re too tight for a translator?
I feel like with Rosenior unless he changes something massively we’re going to see more of the same of last season where teams just sit back and we can’t break them down. Hull had better players up the top end of the pitch than we did and they struggled so why would it be any better with less capable players? They didn’t change anything and ended up losing out on the play offs because he was stubborn and refused to change it. He’s obviously a young coach though and hopefully last season was a learning curve for him to tweak something and make it work.
No idea but the odds on Moyes or Cooper going there are 33/1, Rosenior is 40/1 lol I’d be surprised if there’s any truth in it.

One thing I would say is, that we have to get the recruitment right this summer, if we focus on some experience in the important positions - (attack and midfield) whether that's age experience or appearance experience, we could really kick on imo.
We have the opportunity to make quite a bit from some player sales, you'd hope we reinvest that to improve the whole team, which is what is supposed to happen with a model like ours.
This could make our squad more suitable to a possession style which i'd argue a lot of our squad could defo execute that
Thanks mate, I hate being so negative and I'm trying my best to be reasoned and balanced about it (I argued until I was blue in the face in favour of Mowbray and Neil in the face of a lot of opposition) but I just can't convince myself on Rosenior.
Main positives are man management and players liking and rating him so much and the possession heavy game being a better way to showcase our players so that we can progress as a club through big player sales. There are things there that reassure me so I'm not totally dejected but equally I can't get really enthusiastic about it either.

Imperative that we do mate. Doesn’t matter who we bring in if we don’t sign the right players and give them the tools to their job to the best of their abilities pointless. We aren’t far off having a very capable squad but other teams are also getting better so we can’t get left behind this summer.
Isn't that a bit weird? I always think holding a mirror up to your own opinion is a worthwhile endeavour.
To put it bluntly, the reason I'd want Rosenior to come riding in and snatch the job from under Maric (supposedly), is simply because he is a promising young British coach.
This isn't an endorsement of Rosenior by the way, it can be someone else, but it's odd to want a coach because they are foreign.
I'm on a similar page to you with your thoughts on LR and the next head coach. Since KLD we are apparently more data driven and the stats you have posted makes me surprised LR is being considered, always felt KLD/Speakman wanted aggressive pressing football and got it with Mowbray for large parts, LR's style doesnt really come across that way.
Agree totally with the imagination part, even though the risk is higher with a head coach coming from abroad potentially in their first role. Our managers under the KLD/Speakman era and their last clubs:
-Johnson (unemployed after being sacked at Bristol City)
-Neil (unemployed after being sacked at Preston)
-Mowbray (unemployed after contract ended at Blackburn)
-Beale (unemployed after being sacked at Rangers)
Then if you add Rosenior he would have just been sacked at Hull.
All British unemployed that other than Mowbray were sacked in their previous post. Like you say, struggling clubs like Sheff Wed and QPR managed to find something different and it worked well. No guarantees with that of course, but LR's appointment would make me feel our football side is too restrictive whether that be transfer policy or backroom staff policies to attract higher calibre coaches the could take us to the next level.
Perceived is the key. The Mags hated Steve Bruce and loved Rafa, what they really loved was the profile and the fact he had been in charge of big clubs. People have been tricked into thinking foreign equals better.

I imagine whoever it is it’s pretty much already agreed and I’m sure it’s just little details to be sorted. I wouldn’t trust Nixon for the life of me.
