I have just looked at meaning of “ imminent “ says likely to happen very soon, nothing about “ in the next few days”.

It's not what I'm saying at all, I'm usually accused of being a happy clapper but I'm just presenting my reservations about Rosenior and the basis/my reasons behind it. It's just discussion - I may even subconsciously seeking for someone to present a load of counter arguments to reassure me on all these concerns.

Mental that people write off a 19 year old kid when they’ve barely kicked a ball but say you’re having doubts about a new manager and you’re apparently a mag :emoticon-0102-bigsm

My own personal opinion is that if it is Rosenior we’ve gone for the cheap, easy option again. Out of work, not really of any interest to decent clubs. He was wanted by a L1 club and Plymouth who are expected to go down. He wasn’t apparently good enough for a team who we expect to be in and around so why is he good enough for us? Maybe I’m missing something you’re all seeing but that’s just my own view on him. Hope I’m proven wrong and we have a storming transfer window to get behind the bloke.
Agree with every word.

Any other bigger club in this division wouldn’t be going for Rosenior imo.

@Culinary is making really good points about his reservations. @LD19SAFC less so with the language he's using trying to criticise other fans (i.e. some are "desperate" to defend him etc). Its not helpful. There are plenty of fans who are likewise "desperate" to criticise any decision, and you appear to be one of them most of the time. It goes both ways.

Personally I've come round to Rosenior on balance. But @Culinary's reservations are playing in the back of my mind.

Let's see what happens.

I mean, the international stuff doesn't mean much Styles, Ballard, Hume are all full internationals. Yeah granted his experience with Fenerbache was good but when he first joined hull he wasn't doing as well as he did last season. No-one is dismissing their talent it's just not as insane as people are claiming. Missing out on the playoffs by 3 points is being used as a way to call rosenior ****e by a lot of people when in reality it's his first full season
I think sometimes you're better off just keeping it simple and saying "missing out on the play offs by 3 points isn't as bad as people are making out", because you're trying to find ways to excuse that aren't valid. A good excuse I'd say would be their luck with their strikers.

I didn’t have negative thoughts on those managers? I made my position quite clear numerous times I thought Still would’ve been a great coup, Wicky hasn’t really done anything worth mentioning imo he won a poor league with the best club of two eras and Jansen I didn’t really have much clue about but I’ve watched AZ a fair few times over the last few years because I’m a degenerate gambler and they played a decent brand of football but again, in a poor league.

I’m just not into the whole changing my opinion because I watch a 5 minute video then going off said person because they turn us down or vice versa. I thought Rosenior was bland from the beginning I’ve watched Hull and they have loads of the ball but do nothing with it. They’re good on the counter which worked away from home but when they had to break teams down at home they were poor.

My own personal opinion is that if it is Rosenior we’ve gone for the cheap, easy option again. Out of work, not really of any interest to decent clubs. Apologies, I thought that when you quoted "I’m just playing devils advocate because I’ve literally seethesameshitwith Still, Wicky, Jansenand now Rosenior" it was because you were against them.
What made you think Still would be a good appointment, apart from the same type of videos there has been similar to all other candidates?
Now Still is out of the equation, who who you like us to appoint, that is within our scope?

That can still be considered build-up as far as I'm concerned, the few times I watched Leicester this season they were very prepared to sit back and pass it across the defence if an opening wasn't available on one side, it's boring but effective in that it creates movements and openings when the opponent tried to close you down, admittedly it was so effective for them because they have better players than most teams.

Like it did for Dodds?

You have decided that the graph shows they were building up attacking moves when you have nothing to back that up with, it could have been aimless possession, which we know all about. By the way, I know bugger all about Rosenior, its just your interpretation of that graph isnt necessarily correct, it may be, but its not a given

I think there's plenty of positives about Rosenior, he finished 7th last season in the Championship, you can quibble about the quality of players they have or we have but football is about overcoming impediments such as having no striker for 18 months, or playing £10m for a Champions League winger that has 1 assist and zero goals. He's a young coach (malleable, learning) and plays a specific brand of football, I would agree generally you want to speed up the play if you're bottom of a graph like that and I'm sure that is something that is affected by the personnel at the club, if you've got a bunch of skilful wingers with moderate pace it probably doesn't pay to ask them to beat their man all the time. Again, above all of that, he finished 7th which is not a disaster and is exactly what we're looking to do next season.

Sometimes you can have extensive data on somebody and that turns you off and another candidate comes along with a bunch of u19 games and zero available playing style data and people are licking their lips at that appointment because they read Bayern Munich on the CV. Careful what you wish for.

Also in reply to the not wanted by a club in and around it, their owner is known to be a nutcase and it was a difference of opinion in style.

From an Irish lad I know about Hull's owner

"He’s an idiot Last June he bought Shelbourne over here(my team) who historically are the best team in the country (closest team to qualifying for the champions league lost to deportivo) but the last couple of decades have been tough. Damien duff is the manager last season he got them 4th our best finish in close to 2 decades. the owner was going to get rid of him after that but instead he got bought back out 6 months after buying the club. Duff has us top after 21 games there’s 36 games played in a season"

One account on Twitter? <laugh> I’d be staggered if they were in for him, we’ll see.

You’re desperate for Rosenior mind, what’s so special?
I'm desperate? I'm just backing up my point that I think people are treating him extremely harshly. I would like him to be our new head coach yes. But ha'way?

Fair enough, each to their own. We’ll see how he performs if he does get the job.

To put it bluntly, the reason I'd want Maric to come riding in and snatch the job from under Rosenior (supposedly), is simply because he is a promising young foreign coach.

I want us to find our own man, like the many teams before us. If Bayern have such a high opinion of him, he's gotta be the real deal to a certain extent.

Rosenior would be the safer option, but I guess if he doesn't work out Kyril will allow Speakman another 6 months at the end of next season to find someone who will...that'll be exciting.
