So Mohamed is now contradicting himself from what he'd said earlier ...

... whereas Magnus has stuck to his guns and it looks like KLD is as well.

Will Still’s future still remains to be solved, with the manager yet to arrive at RC Lens, Sunderland still in the picture, and the man himself thought to be back-peddling in a similar way to the Black Cats. That’s according to Allez Lens and journalist Mohamed Toubache-Ter, who cover the ongoing Still saga today and Sunderland’s continued role in it.

Allez Les explain that the ‘almost arrival’ of Still at the club may be causing a lot of talk at the club but the reality is that he is not particularly close to finalising his deal.

Indeed, this is something that Lens president Joseph Oughourlian has recently commented on, playing down the rumours and refusing to confirm the arrival.

That’s led to some confusion as the coach had clearly taken a ‘step back’ regarding the approaches from Sunderland, after being close to signing for them.

The suggestion is that there could have been yet another change of heart for Still, who may have decided that the low-cost squad and budgetary restrictions at Lens are too much of a challenge for him, despite repeated insistence he had dreamed of coaching the French side.

There seems to be some confusion, and the belief that Still may be having second thoughts about the move despite walking backwards from Sunderland to potentially take it up.

Toubache-Ter insists that the final details are being worked on and finalised, with the last details being discussed.

He, though, offers no timeline, with confusion reigning for the time being, as seems to often be the case with Still and his managerial future.
Feel a bit more positive after reading that !haway the Still

For the last time, in my opinion, Still was discounted in December as he didn't tick all the boxes, excluding the compensation payment that would have been due. KLD has led the search and I'm chilling out until he makes the announcement. Speakman will be relieved of his duties end of August once he's handed over to the new DoF.
Time for a drink before the lionesses are on.

This week is the final week for me, i havent been that concerned with it so far but if by end of day Monday there isnt an announcement ill be worrying

A lot of European leagues only finished 2 weeks a go so i dont mind us keeping our options available until then as new candidates might of become available at end of the season

Not having a manager by mid June starts to become a real worry imo

This time of the yr is really quiet on the player recruitment front so we wont be falling behind anyone but thatll start to ramp up in the next week or 2 so need a manager in

Terrible way to run a football club. Structure gone, no guarantee the new DoF would want the head coach, a crucial summer window ran by someone who won't be here at the end of it. This would be disastrous.

Norwich appointed a new DoF during the season, finished in the playoffs and the owners still allowed the DoF to fire Wagner and appoint his own man. Thats how it should be done.

Agree with this like but we don’t know the facts around Speakman so happy to see what plays out. I was hopping about him sorting the coach out but he isn’t seems.

Def seems back to front but we just need to see how it plays out as just rumours at the minute

Speakman going? Because the way Bruce spoke in his interview recently it didn’t sound like it.

I have no idea what is going on

Maric isnt coming but is pictured with one of Stills brothers at Bayern. This is good news (or is it) apart from info from supporters websites, we have had nothing concrete, we are just completely in the dark. The odd comment about Speakman leaving, I think his contract is up sometime this summer, is he or isnt he?

And the bloody cricket was rained off, somethings are constants
