I think there's a middle ground here. Hecky isn't as good as Bob thinks and he's not as bad as some others think.

Either way, he's not even been remotely linked to our job as far as I've seen. So it's all a tad irrelevant.
He'll make a living in a non-inspirational Simon Grayson kind of way...

That’s absolute bollocks though. Every man and his dog expected Burnley to piss it, we all said it on here.

I don’t care what TalkSport said I care what we the fans said, Burnley were head and shoulders and so it was proven.

That article is from way before kick off.

It's not bollocks at all, it's the actual odds. Anyone pulling predictions from thin air is bollocks, even if it comes off.

Hecky is fine. The optics of that appointment would be terrible and I'd imagine he'd get the Beale reaction from the fanbase. Not sure his style fits this squad either.

As @Southern A says it's probably a pointless discussion until he's properly linked.
Not sure what you mean by properly linked but he's always worryingly quite high in the betting odds.

It’s the actual odds from weeks before start of season.

Every man and his dog had Burnley to win the league I don’t need TalkSport to tell me this.

The article is wholly wrong,

Only Nixon has linked Heckingbottom to us and that was months ago

It's wholly correct, your issue is you don't like the date.

How is it wholly corrrect? It’s for JUNE it states ‘early odds’ and that Burnley ‘need a full rebuild’ it was way off.

It’s June now you reckon the odds now are solid? Behave man.

I am going off being a football fan and knowing what we all thought as the season kicked off. By that point I guarantee you them odds where different. Go find some from August.

And, regardless, Hecky ****ed it at Leeds. That’s the closest comparison we have so I barely give a **** about him taking a promotion worthy squad up. I care about him being able to mould one.

He can’t do that.

These are from June, seasons kicked off in August, I don't know what to say I searched from probably 10 links to find easy-to-read odds, maybe odds from July would feel better?
I think you are correct in what you are saying, I think Norwich were favourites for promotion that season if memory serves.

I can give you 3 good reasons he would improve us.
Young, will fit in with our way of thinking 2. and a bit aggressive what we need, 3. He don't suffer fools. Unlike Beal. Fighting with your own keeper, who appointed him????
If that's the rumour about Beale, Patterson and Diamond on the training ground, it didn't happen and was quickly shot down by Patterson's dad

I have an article here 10th August after 2 games, Watford, Burnley and Sheffield United joint faves.

I can’t post as I’m on a beach in Turkey but it’s on the Burnley express with a link to SkyBet.

Norwich were faves early doors then lost first game and Smith lost it they were ****e that season.

Just pondering and gauging opinion.

How long can we wait before appointing a new head coach? Transfer window looming, pre season preparation to agree and organise, contracts (rigg) to be agreed and sorted.

Whilst the head coach may not have full control on these matters, they just surely have an input?

Has to be done within next 10 days for me
