The club didn't make it public that they were chasing him, they haven't said anything on targets

Lots of agents and agendas going on. I am sure Still will end up at Lens but a few open ended comments leave it slightly ajar. I still wonder if there is another twist or two yet.

Honestly mate, I have seen him coach up front. Way better than people think. Did he really fail at Hull? Not according to fans. At Derby he was brilliant.

I feel we have dodged a bullet with this Still, seems to me he could have been Alex Neil mark 2

think i rather go with someone with championship experience now not long left to preseason lots of work to do and recruitment team really needs to step up ITHICS

He's a bit boring, a 7 out of 10 if I've everf seen one, but..

He played for us as a youth player (has a club connection).
Is northern.
Got Sheff Utd promoted, perhaps even a year earlier than they expected.
 
No offence to anyone but I take everything people passing on rumours say, journalists included, with a massive pinch of salt, it's also usually clouded with personal opinions. So I didn't think Still was guaranteed to sign and I don't know who to hold responsible, I don't think anyone does.

I didn't really want him anyway, not opposed to him either but I wasn't psyched about it. I'd be perfectly happy with someone else such as Rosenior who I believe would give us success.

Possession football is my idea of how to play. All I have ever wanted to coach. Southampton showed what it can do. We have the players for it too.

Rosenior would be ****e. Failed to get a better squad in the play-offs. Not good enough for Hull but good enough for SAFC? Aye, roll on the mid table consolidation.

He wouldn’t deliver what a club and fanbase like ours expects. Then again, a lot have lowered expectations and are happy to doddle along…

Although he wouldn’t be the most exciting appointment I think he’d be decent. Certainly better than Beale. If he hadn’t been sacked by Hull and we were rumoured to be poaching him I think a lot of opinions on him would be different.
