Credible sources?
What is a credible source?! I think that Romano was one of them.
Credible sources?
Or you could say it was pretty obvious they wanted Still who apparently went and spoke to them. How was it not? They spoke to candidates....the guy's season finished Sunday and a few days later its all done
Pretty obvious they have got who they wanted
Not true according to RomanoI've been at work all day so haven't seen what's been posted, and too tired to look through the thread ...
.... so, https://sportwitness.co.uk/sunderland-find-agreement-new-manager-two-year-contract-ready-signed/
Romano shut it down within half an hour. I get the feeling the club were straight on to him telling him to shut it down. Sunderland echo also shut it down straight away (again, I’m assuming the club told them).Credible sources?
****ing school holidaysare you okay Sam?

Did he turn them down? Was he not suitable? Was Thorup always first choice? Did they consider any other candidates? When did Thorups last contract end? Who is in Thorups back room staff? There are a number of questions to be asked but as you say it is obvious they got who they wanted. Or did they?
Definite possibility the club did this, wonder if maybe the still deal has hit a snag but the club want to get it resolved which is why Romano hasn’t mentioned any names for our job yet (just my pure speculation)Romano shut it down within half an hour. a solid season? he failed which is why he was sacked…along with a style of play that is very very similar to Beale
Heckingbottom couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery and also failed last season
No idea wtf is going on, been busy all day ...
... is the gist that a Championship club turned down a manager now appointed by a Champions League club?
Just because he was sacked doesn't mean he "failed". It's about perspective. Did Mowbray fail here?
Heckingbottam got a team promoted out of this very league. I didn't realise you were only judging off last season. That wouldn't be the right approach in my opinion.

The point of getting promotion is to stay there, so no I wouldn’t want a manager who left them in 20th position. Plenty of managers get promotion and struggle.Who do you want if you don’t want someone that won promotion from this league
But yet again just another **** Internet rumour people are jumping onNo idea about this lad but he undoubtedly has a good record. Obviously the Swiss League is slightly lesser but he did very well. If true I presume all 'ITKs' will be hanging up their boots and admitting that maybe they don't know as much as they thought.
No one as he's not coming himselfIntrigued to see who he’d be bringing with him…
It’s funny how you are allowed to qualify his promotion but he can’t take any responsibility for their relegation. Haven’t you just judged him off one season?Just because he was sacked doesn't mean he "failed". It's about perspective. Did Mowbray fail here?

Do you think he would fit as a head coach to work with Speakman and the youngest team/squad in the league? Genuinely interested. I know very little about him, other than a few uninspiring interviews. Does he have that kind of track record?

He was sacked because he was failing . He certainly wasn’t sacked because he was succeeding. Like I say I want a manager to come in get promoted and be good enough to keep us there.
And no I don’t know who, I just know not him
It’s never easy my old friend , but he’s not for me. Even out of the two you mentioned I’d rather have Rosenior. I couldn’t even tell you why if I’m honest. But to go this far down the line and appoint Heck, just smacks of desperation. But wtf do I knowOf course he can take responsibility for the relegation too. He wasn't good enough. I also understand your point as wanting someone to get us up and keep us up, but even a manager deemed good enough for Bayern Munich couldn't do that this season so maybe it's not so easy for us to find.
He's not my choice by the way, far from it. I just think he's a steady hand rather than "tragic".
Always felt like this was one we could use for a quick profit, Bellingham tax could get us a fair fee and allow us to strengthen elsewhereit gets better
